Hopefully I’m just seeing things, but now I feel like I’m going blind for looking! Can anyone give me a second opinion?

Is this positive?

I can see a second line on both. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞

Oh sorry - I've just seen you put "hopefully I'm seeing things". Sorry if this is not the result you want, OP

Both positive. Sorry if that's not the news you wanted.

Thank you! And I’m so sorry to trigger anyone who is hoping for this result.

It kind of is what I want, it’s just a bit unexpected as my periods haven’t come back yet after my second baby (I know pregnancy is still possible). I’m feeling slightly panicked as I’ve only just gone back to work after a year off with baby number 2 and I worry that this is career suicide.

I am sure I will be fine once I get past the shock.

OP. I was you exactly a year ago. I fell pregnant 8 months PP (after a c-section). I was taking a year off work so still had three months on maternity when I found out. I went back to work 16 weeks pregnant with number 2.

I don't know your speciality but all I can say is everyone was so supportive and understanding (to my face at least). I worried about it a lot and I ended up telling my manager much sooner than I had planned (8 weeks) in case they wanted to keep my cover on.

One year on and with a 5 month old, I shouldn't have worried. I went back for 5 months and did 5 months of good solid work before going on mat leave again.

In fact, if I were to have gone back for a year and then fell pregnant/off again I would have worried about the impact then too as I would have been knee deep in projects! At least this way round everyone knew I was only back for a short period and could plan around that.

Just wanted to share my experience as I so worried about this!! But it has been fine. I am taking less maternity this time - but that is because I found a year too long last time - it was a slog towards the end.

I hope that helps you.

Also, I can see an early positive on those tests. So congratulations.

Try and enjoy these early days as much as possible!! I ruined my first 12 weeks from worrrying so much!
