LH surge after ovulation

I’m pretty certain I ovulated 5 days ago, I had a positive OPK and a smiley face on the clear blue and it’s pretty consistent with every other cycles, I’ve continued testing LH levels which have dropped, however today I’ve had another surge. Is this normal? Has anybody else had the same, what does it mean? 🤔🫣

Hi there, it could actually mean one of two things, Either you have had two surges this month, which happens occasionally, as it did with me in April. In this case it will mean that you had a surge but you never quite ovulated so your body is giving it another go.
The other scenario is that you are pregnant and the test is confusing LH with HCG hormone. I think this scenario might be unlikely though, as, if you did ovulate around 5 days ago, your HCG would probably not be high enough to register on a normal pregnancy test and I thi k it needs to be reasonably high for an OKP to mistake it.

very possible to have 2 peaks! sometimes the body tries to ovulate a second time if the first 'ovulation' didn't release the egg successfully.

time to DTD again! :)
