Hi all, hoping for some help. I’ve been TTC 6 years and have had 3 failed rounds of ivf. I’ve had a bit of a cold and been feeling dizzy from 6-8dpo. I am only 9dpo and did a test with second urine of the day - confirmed 9dpo as I used ovulation sticks. Is this a positive or am I too early to get excited? Never seen a positive in 6 years xxx

Cramps are a pregnancy symptom, I had them badly again throughout the whole first trimester. Can you book a reassurance scan? I had one at 6 weeks due to the spotting.

I am going to try and book one, the spotting is definitely getting heavier 😞😞😞

My cheapy tests never got any darker than yours, for my successful pregnancies. Rest up, and try not to worry - what will be will be xx

Gonnaenodothat · 29/07/2024 17:19

The only time my tests got as dark as that was with a twin pregnancy and I hear spotting can be more common with twins so don't give up hope. I hope everything works out for you x

MrsBrightsidde · 29/07/2024 18:55

Keeping my fingers crossed for you OP and really really hope it’s just spotting. As PP said don’t give up hope - what you’re experiencing happens in successful pregnancies too so doesn’t mean the worst is happening xx

Niiina · 30/07/2024 06:53

Staying positive for you @Butterfly8719 🤍 How are you feeling this morning?

Like PPs said, spotting and cramps can be a 'normal' part of so many pregnancies. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, lovely xx

Hiya @Niiina i have more spotting, it’s like a brown/grey colour was heavier this morn. My boobs were really sore last night and my wondfo is darker this morn, so hopefully it’s normal. It’s just so unsettling isn’t it 😞 my cramps seem to have settled too, I’m waiting for the EPU to call me to arrange a scan. My fertility clinic who I’ve been with for years are not interested in me now I have a natural pregnancy - I also had scans and bloods included in my last rounds which cost around 18k and obv I didn’t use as my cycles failed, and now they want to charge me £200 for an early scan! ☹️ x

@Butterfly8719 im not sure where you live, but if the EPU can’t see you for a while you can get other clinics offering scans that are much cheaper. Fingers crossed for you!

Good luck OP let us know how it goes asap 🤞

ThelastRolo20 · 30/07/2024 10:50

@Butterfly8719 wishing you best of luck today ❤️ I had brown spotting this pregnancy (didn't have it in my first). Really threw me but brown is more likely to be okay. I had a subchorionic hematoma (no impact on baby) and even had a brown clot come out a week or so later! All is well so far so hoping this is the same for you.

Period type cramps are so normal and please remember those tests are not for HCG monitoring, only to say "yes you're pregnant". I don't think I ever got a "dye stealer"!

I have everything crossed that all is well xx

PinkFrogss · 30/07/2024 11:13

Good luck OP, have been silently watching on, thinking of you today

MrsBrightsidde · 30/07/2024 11:46

So frustrating about your old clinic but great news you're being seen today. We're all here for you so let us know how you get on xx

Butterfly8719 · 30/07/2024 15:59

Thank you you’re all so kind ❤️🤍 so they saw the gestational sack and the yolk and what they think is baby measuring 2mm. No heartbeat as only 5w3d, and they said they wouldn’t see one till 6+ weeks anyway. They said they cannot tell at this stage if it’s a viable pregnancy and that the spotting can be normal. I go back in 2 weeks time to hopefully hear a heart beat. Good news is I am measuring where I should be and it’s not ectopic! 🫶🏻

That's all very promising. I'm sorry you're going through such a stressful time (been there!) Are you booked in for another scan soon?

BeachRide · 30/07/2024 16:38

Sorry, just reread! Roll on two weeks' time 😀

justmewithmylifetoday · 30/07/2024 16:41

@Butterfly8719 that's great news! I had an early scan with ds, no heartbeat as it was similar gestation to you. Seeing the little teeny sac is really positive!
