Hi all, hoping for some help. I’ve been TTC 6 years and have had 3 failed rounds of ivf. I’ve had a bit of a cold and been feeling dizzy from 6-8dpo. I am only 9dpo and did a test with second urine of the day - confirmed 9dpo as I used ovulation sticks. Is this a positive or am I too early to get excited? Never seen a positive in 6 years xxx

You're very strong 🤣

Just out of interest - this was my 13dpo (same urine sample!) showing the difference in line strengths between brands, so don't worry if yours isn't as strong as you'd like. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

Oh my what a difference between tests!! Thanks for sharing 💖 this all helps so much!! X

Just had my blood test results and they’re 77miu/ml which apparently according to the clinic is good for 12DPO! ❤️

This is great!! Can't wait for your next one!

I’ve just had a tiny bit of brown spotting mixed with creamy CM. So worried now ☹️☹️

@Butterfly8719 oh no but try not to panic as I had a lot of spotting at this stage on and off. It could be implantation bleeding or just your cervix becoming more sensitive. Have you dtd lately?

we haven’t dtd no, I know this sounds gross but it was after a no 2 when I wiped. (Sorry tmi) and it was clearly old blood as was dark brown and speckled. Just a tiny bit. I did another wandfo this morning and it’s darker than yesterdays so hopefully that’s ok xx

Much easier said than done but I would try focus on the fact that's a nice strong line progression. 💪

TMI Q but is there any chance that old blood could be from constipation? First trimester hormones cause a lot of changes to the digestive track.

I would just put a liner on to monitor the situation. There's so many different causes that could be, including old implantation bleeding.

TheShellBeach · 18/07/2024 09:12

@Butterfly8719 I had that brown spotting at this stage and all was well.
I know it's scary but it's really common in early pregnancy.

I’ve actually gone the other way and have had a bit of an upset tummy as opposed to constipation. It’s been hard to go but when I do go it’s loose (again sorry TMI)

I hope it’s implantation, I just know it’s not overly common and I didn’t know if it was too late for that. I have my second BETA in the morn so I guess that will tell me for sure 🤞🏼 thank you for replying xxxx

Thank you so much for reassuring me @TheShellBeach - everytime I got excited about being pregnant my husband knocked me down a peg and said it’s early we can’t get excited, so I said I’d rather be excited than anxious and depressed and he agreed - Sod’s Law as soon as he leaves I start spotting!!!! How much did you have? Xxxx

TheShellBeach · 18/07/2024 09:20

I had a little when I wiped and stuck a panty liner on.

There was brown staining for three days and I was sure I'd lost the baby - but she's an adult now.

Try not to panic, which is easier said than done.

Nosurpr1ses · 18/07/2024 09:21

@Butterfly8719 i had exactly the same thing after going to the toilet at this stage, I had random episodes on and off until 14 weeks tbh. The midwife was never concerned unless it was heavy and red

Butterfly8719 · 18/07/2024 09:29

Thank you @TheShellBeach and @Nosurpr1ses - this makes me feel much better. Mindset is so funny because if I didn’t know i was pregnant and had this the day before my period was due I’d test and be like ‘omg implantation bleed’ but because I already know, I'm thinking the worst 😄 I’ve been feeling quite crampy too the last few days 🫠 xx

Please try not to panic.. I actually had a mix of brown and bright red blood with all 3 of my pregnancies at different stages..all babies born healthy...
I've followed your post from the beginning and am sending sticky vibes to you...x

Happyface82 · 18/07/2024 22:28

Please try not to worry. It's so common. Did you get your betas back?

Happyface82 · 18/07/2024 23:57

I just realised. It's tomorrow your beta. But honestly it's very common. Where I'm from they wouldn't even check on you for brown spotting only for red blood and still then it often is normal. My best friend asked a couple of days ago and she's 10 weeks now and doctor said completely fine.

Shennie100 · 19/07/2024 00:08

Just read this all through- congratulations! So happy for you. Best wishes ❤️

Butterfly8719 · 19/07/2024 07:41

Thank you @Niiina @Happyface82 and @Shennie100 ❤️ @Happyface82 just off to have beta now, I expect it’ll be back by 3ish! 🤞🏼 feeling weird today as boobs has completely stopped hurting (they were super painful 2 days ago, a little painful yesterday but literally zilch this morn) I still feel dizzy and have just done another wondfo which looks ‘ok’. I’ll share xx

If I look between 12 and 14 there is a difference so I am hoping that means my hcg on my beta will have increased 🤞🏼 x

Somewhat belated but happy birthday OP!! Hope you had a lovely day!

I know it’s easy to say but do not lose heart over the brown spotting. I also had brown spotting at the start and I remember the way my heart just fell, but it never progressed to anything and I had a successful pregnancy. It’s super common though I understand why with your history you’d be more anxious than most.

Do keep us updated. So many of us on this thread are wishing you the very very best.

Happyface82 · 19/07/2024 08:57

Great progression! Excited for you!

QuarterYellow · 19/07/2024 09:00

Huge congratulations!
I am on the daily testing team! Especially when you’ve gone through so much people don’t understand. Daily testing and HCG bloods and a scan at 6 weeks and every 2 weeks then here.

Everything crossed the spotting is just that.
