Hi everyone,

We have been TTC for 18 months, two miscarriages under 7 weeks and one chemical
last year and yesterday at 10dpo had a positive on a boots early detection.

When we saw the nurse at the recurrent miscarriage clinic she advised calling up as soon as we had a positive test to be prescribed progesterone pessaries and I’m conscious that over the weekend I’ve missed two whole days where I could have taken extra progesterone to support the pregnancy. In haste I’ve taken some aspirin this morning. Does anyone have any experience with this? Or reassurance 😂. I feel like I should be doing something to prevent losing this one but don’t know what…other than waiting till Monday to get the progesterone - flying on holiday on Wednesday😬

I feel different to the other pregnancies - boobs not as sore and no pelvic cramping.

I don't have any experience with using progesterone but remember a lot of people don't get a BFP that early so you'll be ok until Monday, please don't panic ☺️ congratulations!

As PP said many people don’t even get positive that early, and you can’t do anything about it being the weeekend - hopefully continues well

Just posting for solidarity. I got my BFP yesterday after TTC#2 for about a year with one early loss. I still can't quite believe it and am now worrying it will be a chemical or won't stick 😔 I took aspirin with my first I think after seeing the midwife for first time because I'm an older mum so after seeing this wondering if I need to do the same. I've had the opposite to you ands so much bad cramping and pain, I don't remember having this before at all (my first was a rainbow baby too).

Can you call the unit for advice or are they not open today? Is there any advice on the miscarriage association website?

Congrats on your BFP!
I have one 3yr old ds who was a rainbow baby after 1 mc and remember having a lot of pelvic cramping around this time when I was pregnant with him.

I think a lot of studies have shown minimal benefit from taking aspirin and progesterone use in unexplained miscarriage anyway tbh but want to give it the best chance.

I may try and call the unit but fear they will just say it’s not urgent and wait till Monday to contact the nurse.

We had also just started (expensive private) fertility testing with a clinic to start IVF but they are also closed on the weekend 😅
