Thin uterine lining, any advice ladies?

TMI straight away (sorry girls)

Basically I hardly bleed. A day at most and I only use a liner. I used to be 7 days mega heavy. Oh spoken to the docs and they just deny that it’s in any way not normal. Had bloods done and they are ok. Had a scan and apparently it’s ok but still I’m not really bleeding anymore.

trying and failing for months. Taking L’arganine. Saving to go private. Is there anything you ladies can advise or suggest please. At this point I’m desperate and will try anything. Thanks for reading if you got this far. 🙏

Did your scan measure the thickness of your endometrium?

Duckgirl · 11/07/2024 07:12

I asked if they could do so and was told I was not aloud to make any requests during. They where looking for abnormalities and that’s all that they will tell me. I have requested my notes so I can read more and will be paying for another scan

When did it change, how old are you? Have you had your hormone levels tested?

Duckgirl · 11/07/2024 07:24

Really suddenly last October. Had about 23 days of spotting ( never have this ) then a period that was a bit odd but not much. Then the rest have been gone. I’m 33. Hormones say I’m fine. I think otherwise and I’m scared

Was wondering if you could have been in peri menopause but you are a bit young for that, although not unheard of.

@Overthebow this is exactly what I’m scared about. My periods have always been textbook timing and heavy. Now it’s basically almost gone. I’m so worried

I have/had very light periods. 2-3 days and a pant liner.
I conceived 8 times and have 4 healthy kids.

Duckgirl · 11/07/2024 11:50

Hi @Toasticles im really pleased to hear that. I’m so sorry for the losses you have suffered though.
‘my worry comes from the change and not knowing why. I had 7 day super heavy periods. Cups, period pants and still regular changes. Now it lasts a day and only just a light pink colour. I’m so lost and scared and no doctor will take me seriously as I’m 33. They just say it’s normal. For me this is really not.

Which hormone tests have you already had done, and when in your cycle? Perimenopause at your age would be very unusual and probably have shown up in your results.

MissEmily5 · 11/07/2024 22:48

@Duckgirl hi! I was told I had a thin lining but my periods were normal in terms of duration and heaviness- measuring at 2.7mm on CD30 one cycle and then 5.6mm at CD20 on another cycle.
I have tried so much to help improve it- Brazil nuts, raspberry tea leaf, all the supplements, aspirin etc and having reflexology sessions (weekly for at least 6 weeks and then monthly afterwards).
I had a hycosy this week and they found my lining to be a lovely 8.7mm on CD14- soo happy with the result! I do think reflexology helped with my circulation but it could be a combination.
also in regards to your period, my period this year has gone haywire and now very irregular and sometimes rather light but I do think that’s down for stress in my case.
good luck with it all and wishing you all the best!

@MissEmily5 hey, thank you so very much for your reply. I’m driving myself crazy with worry. I’m trying to learn everything I can as fast as I can. Eat sleep and live to the letter of the health law. Thank you for giving me some hope. 🙏
