Eh? Is this reliable?

Using premom app to track ovulation this month, uploading pics of my opk tests.

Usually use opk tests but without the app, as well as clear blue digital for ovulation tracking but I’ve got a faulty one this month so just using opk and thought I’d give the app a go.

im a bit confused why it’s saying that todays test is less than yesterday’s. Imo today’s is obviously darker?

anyone using these do you find them generally reliable and accurate?

thanks.

hubby wants me to stop testing and “just have loads of sex” 😂 so I’ve got my bases covered testing or not, just interested in opinions.

Eh? Is this reliable?

Both of those tests have been read wrongly by the app because the photos taken of them are terrible! Use the automatic photo taker in the app in a room with decent downlighting and place the LH test strip on a white surface with no shadow over it. Try to capture each new test strip in the same lighting conditions (so, the same room at the same time of day with the same background).

You can see on the bottom two strips in your screenshot why the app has misjudged where the test and control lines are - look at the dark black strips of shadow on the blue bit of the stick, directly beside the control line. It's measuring that as the control line and the actual control line as a test line. Dodgy photos = dodgy readings = dodgy results.

P.S @MrsWeasely - this is what a peak or high result should look like. The left red/pink line should be equal to or darker than the control line on the right:

@MrsWeasely Most welcome - you'll get the hang of it. And ignore hubby and do keep testing, it's much better way of identifying when your fertile window is than guesswork alone! Good luck
