Bfp without opk progression?

Hello ladies!

I've been reading up about opk progression after ovulation and how if they get darker leading up to AF it can potentially predict a BFP.

I had a box of opk tests so have been trying this out (and also to relieve my poss addiction)

I'm DPO10 now but I don't think my opk line is progressing.. anyone know if this can still lead to a BFP???

Some LH tests can sometimes confuse HCG for LH. They're not exact and can't really be reliably used as pregnancy tests.

I took an LH test the day I had my positive and there was a line, so it picked up the HCG, but it's not designed to in the same way a pregnancy test is. I've never heard of progressive ovulation tests for pregnancy. You're either pregnant or not, so much like a pregnancy test, they would either be a line or not. That's what makes LH tests invalid as pregnancy tests - you could just as well be having fluctuations in LH with no HCG in your system.

I've attached my LH test and pregnancy test from 9DPO so you can see :)

Oh thankyou so much @KittyFantastica thats really helpful! My opks have been all over the place - I'm 12dpo and still bfn - pretty sure I'm out. Thank you so much though that's super helpful 🩷

I'm just wondering if you could be pregnant but have a negative opk at the same time?
