Hi all, I’m a little confused. My tests have been all over the place, is this somewhat normal? This is my first month ttc so I’m still new to this. is it normal my peak was only that high, and then significantly dropped this morning? I noticed on other people’s their peak was way over 1-2. I was hoping after that peak it would continue to rise so was a little confused to see it drop so much. Is it possible my ovulation prediction date is wrong? Thanks for any advice in advance💕

That’s what mine was like, and bbt confirmed ovulation occured. One month it said 1.2 and another 0.97 and this time 0.81. I guess it’s a snapshot so what if we miss the very very strong line by a few hours? I had a slight worry too at the time.

I would hazard a guess that you have ovulated. Maybe last night, maybe this morning or lunchtime. It’s hard to pinpoint. Your lh was rising on the evening of the 6th. Online it says 12-36hrs but I’m not certain about it all. I use bbt to confirm I ovulated.

Just to add though that lh alone doesn’t confirm ovulation occured. Its why I use bbt as well to take the confusion out of it.

I have attached mine from this month so far if you would like to see. The graph is my temperature each morning.

What do you use to track your bbt? I might try that on the next cycle if this one results in a BFN

I did the deed the day before and the day after so let's hope it's good enough, will probably do again tonight to be sure.

Yes it can be worth dtd tonight too since it’s a guess when ovulation occurs and there is still the window for a short duration after ovulation too. It sounds like you have covered your fertile window too. We only managed to dtd once just before ovulation this time so not ideal but I will still hope.

I bought a cheap thermometer on Amazon, it needs to read up to 2 decimal places. Search for bbt and thermometer. Then I use the fertility friend app, the basic functionality is free and that’s what I use. Then you need to take your temperature each morning, ideally after 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep and do it before having a drink or getting up. I usually do it around. 6-6:30am but I sometimes vary out of that a bit.

I started on day 9 of my cycle because I know I ovulate later in the cycle but it’s up to you. Just start before your fertile window so you have some temperatures pre-ovulation. The app looks for three consecutive high temps to confirm ovulation occured.

I really like the fertility friend app to store all the data too (you can see it under the graph on mine). Such as when we dtd, the lh peak, period length and heaviness. I use Premom for the lh tests but for everything else I prefer the FF app.

I'll defo do it tonight, I'm sure my husband won't mind, he's living his best life recently ahahah. Hope is all we have, and I hope you for too🩷

I've just seen one for £10 so I'll purchase that and start that on my next cycle. That is perfect for me too as I get up early especially mid week for work so easy to do consistently. I know you're not supposed to do your ovulation strips early morning but I can't really do them at work!

I think if this cycle is unsuccessful which I'm manifesting it's not but if it is I'll start testing from last day of my period as I started last this month. But I appreciate your help and advice you've been great!! Fingers crossed for you this month x

…and thankyou. I hope so too. This is technically only our first proper cycle ttc number 2 so if it doesn’t happen I shouldn’t be surprised. It’s just the unknown, not knowing how long this can take.
