Has any one got pregnant on CD17+ and using pull out method

Hi
i ovulate on day 13 of a 28 day cycle. My 3 children were conceived on day 13 of my cycle (didn’t have sex before then or after that)

I had sex on CD17 assuming it was my “safe” day (we use natural family planning) he also pulled out. We didn’t “go again” so it’s not a case of sperm being left in the pre cum from previous ejaculation.

Today, 11 days after sex I have found out I’m pregnant. We only had sex once and on CD17 and he pulled out. I’m struggling to fathom how this happened and it’s caused an argument between us because he thinks the pull out method is foolproof and has implied I must have had sex with somebody else which I have not!

pull out method has worked for us for 4 years.

I do hope you are okay OP.

Op, I feel like we all jumped on you here. To offer a proper answer, yes you definitely can. I have got pregnant using withdrawal but wasn't bothered. The precum is more than enough and a man can't know or control that even if he knows when to not ejaculate. Tell him to go check Google or ask his GP if he's honestly doubting you

I'm sorry you're in this situation. Yes you absolutely can get pregnant using the withdrawal method, it's just been pure luck that it has worked for you until now. The only 100% reliable form of natural family planning is to abstain. I'm baffled how you and your husband didn't receive correct RSE... I was taught about contraception in a religious all girls Catholic secondary 35 years ago in Ireland, and we were told then that withdrawal is not reliable. Visit your GP together who will clarify these scientific facts for your husband and maybe then he will believe you. It's either that or it was an immaculate conception...

The immaculate conception actually has nothing to do with getting pregnant without sex @Gooseysgirl. It refers to the conception of Mary not Jesus.

Also hope you're ok OP. Sorry for getting distracted about what you said about Ireland earlier and not being more supportive. I really hope everything works out ok.

Wow, I didn't realise that. I definitely thought it was about Jesus. Going off for a Google now...
