if i ovulated cd17 when to bd?

Well when I conceived ds, I ovulated on day 18 (was using one of those ovulator predictors) and dh had been away for a few days just at the wrong time so we ended up doing it on day 18 (the actual day of ovulation) for the first ime in almost a week.

I was pretty surprised it had worked. In fact I was convinced we had missed our chance that month. I had been trying for nearly two years and am generally not very fertile at all. In fact I've been unable o conceive a second in the last two years and haven't had a period now for almost a year - At 43 that seems like it may well be it for me. Looks like ds was our little miracle - They do happen sometimes!!

So is having sex on the day of ovulation just not a good thing? Do you have to have it the day before for the best chance?
