I had a HyCosy today, got told my right tube is clear but they couldn’t fully see my left tube - something to do with the shape of the tube and possibly my bowel being in the way.

Anyhow, we’ve been trying for two years and had an ectopic pregnancy last summer.

Just wondering what people’s experiences were after this procedure and did it help you conceive?

Hi @sugarbees It didn't help me conceive. I was told my tubes were clear so obviously something else was wrong instead. At that stage I had a four year old and was trying for number 2. Five years later I did conceive number 2. Not sure the whys and wherefore.

No it didn't help me. My tubes were clear but it turned out I had low ovarian reserve, endometriosis and adenomysosis. I conceived a couple of years later with ivf xx

I had similar issue during hicosy - my left ovary not visible on scans so they warned me the tube may also not visualise but they mentioned that instead of hycosy I can do same but with xray rather than ultrasound . As they only had the ultrasound in the clinic I asked them to.proceed and luckily they saw the fluid going to the tube.

Forgot to mention I did conceive the next month but it was chemical
