Ovulating/periods after Depo Provera injection?

How long did it take to get a period or ovulate after coming off the depo injection?

Ive only had 2 injections (1 the day I give birth, the next 3 months after) and then stopped as I knew it would take a while for my periods to come back so I could think about having another baby after about a year and had no periods since being on it. It’s now been 21 months and still no period and not ovulating either? Has anyone else’s took this long or longer to come back? I’ve been to the gp and they’ve referred me for a pelvic ultrasound but a year wait list which isn’t much help🙄

I came off this last May, I’ve had really bad irregular periods!

I was on it for a year and now we are TTC! Wish I never went on it as I was like clockwork before!

I had my first AF in October, then after a 97 day cycle, 33 day cycle, 55 day, 36 days, 2 day AF and now I’m on day 41 and still no AF again!

it’s incredibly frustrating x

My last depo ran out in Dec and I got my period back in April. I have heard dong quai can be really effective in bringing on a period - I was going to try it myself but af came before I got around to it! May be worth researching

21 months is significantly longer than it should take. I would go back to your gp and ask for some blood work (fsh, prolactin, thyroid).
