Girls that understand opening digital tests!? Help.

I took a digital test today it said not pregnant. I had only held my pee for two hours. But I am about 9 days late.

However, a few hours later I took the test and opened it and the inside looks like this?

I've googled it but can't come to a conclusion.

Can anyone interpret this?

Why would you open it

Women•

They all have that.

Singleandproud · 01/07/2024 02:01

Just follow the instructions and take one in the morning.

Hopefully those taking digital tests are women and not girls.

Girls is a term of endearment. "Hey girl" People say it all the time

I think it's not difficult to understand that I wasn't addressing female children or adolescents.
I sometimes say "hey guys" when there are females included in the group of human beings too just if yere not scandalised enough.

I opened it because I'm curious about things and I've often seen that they can display not pregnant even if you are and I'm sure I'm Far from the first "woman/adult female/person" that has done this and I wanted to hear from women who had a better understanding of how they work and how the test interprets results.

Is it causing some sort of wide spread offence that I didn't know about to open up something and look inside?

If you're truly 9 days late and pregnant it would be completely unambiguous, whichever test you used.

Do you track ovulation using OPKs or BBT? It's sadly much more likely that you ovulated late this cycle or are in the midst of a random annovulatory cycle.

Thank you for your reply!

I am still nursing my ten month old and this is only my second cycle back. So possible I ovulated late also as id imagine I'm all Over the place 🤔

Hi OP, not sure why people feel the need to correct your use of the term 'girls'. I'm sure Shania Twain was not talking to adolescents when she said 'Let's go Girls'!
To answer your question, I've read before than all digital tests have two lines inside. I'm not sure why. If you are 9 days late, it's unlikely to be an inaccurate result. It is very possible you didn't ovulate when you think if you haven't tracked ovulation? When I was nursing I had a period at about 10 months then not another until about 13 months.

Irishwifey · 01/07/2024 12:37

Thanks @Girlfolk

I was addressing it as a few of the initial commenters came to say that they hope people taking these tests should be women and not girls etc 😂

Thank you for your input.

Would there be still 3 lines though. As far as I understand since I posted this is that one of the strips is the one to test pregnant/not pregnant and the other is the weeks indicator.
🤔

Defo possible I ovulated late!!

Digital tests work in a completely different way inside than regular tests do. They cannot be read by eye. You cannot see anything by opening it up that the sensitive optical sensors did not see.

The test said you are not pregnant. That is the only answer they can or will give you.
