TTC over 35 Vitamins, advice needed

Hello lovely ladies. I’m 36 next month and have been ttc for 5 months now which I know is not too long. I’ve always been regular and getting positive opk but since starting proceive max prenatals my cycles have gotten shorter. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice? Should I keep going with proceive max being over 35 or go back to Pregnacare/seven seas which seem to be other popular choices

How short is shorter? I conceived on a 25/26 day cycle with no issue, how long is your luteal phase?

pregnancare did nothing to help my cycle I believe it delayed it considerably.

I do really rate procieve as I took it (not the max just the normal one) for 3 months, as did DP, and we conceived first cycle at the age of 35.

@HippeePrincess this month I had my opk day 12 so ovulated day 13, with 14/15 day luteal phase.

luteal phase generally staying the same but ovulating earlier in cycle. So I was ovulating day 15 or 16 now day 13 if that makes sense?

would you say carry on with the proceive max for now? I’m conscious it’s higher levels for my age which I like but don’t want to continue to shorten cycle

thanks for your reply, I’m still getting head around follicular and luteal phases

Ovulating earlier shouldn’t be a problem, it’s my understanding the luteal phase is most important so as long as it’s over 10 and ideally 12-14 days then it’s fine. A 28 day cycle is very average and 27 days is definitely not short.

And yes I’d carry on with the proceive, and don’t forget your DP’s role in this too, I got my dp to take fertility supplements for at least 3 months prior probably was almost 6 months as the sperm cycle is about 3 months.

I conceived this time with what looks like an 18 day cycle! My cycles have been messed up since March when I had a D&C, so it's likely I had intermittent bleeding rather than actual periods. However, I ovulated 9 days after my last bleed and got a positive 9 days later. The 'cycle' before that was 18 days too, though I couldn't pinpoint ovulation and we weren't really trying at that point.

I used Pregnacare and so did my husband and we've conceived every time we've tried thus far, though I don't think it's vitamins that actually make you conceive. After my last loss, I started taking B6, vitamin C, CoQ10 and soy isoflavones to try and improve my egg quality and cycle length as well as the Pregnacare.

@HippeePrincess @KittyFantastica thank you to you both. I guess as long as an egg is released there is hope.
I get ovulation pai and positive opk. Trying to lose a few pounds to see if that will help too
