Should I keep taking Yasmin?

I've been on Yasmin for about 3 months and then I decided to switch to desogestrel pill because I noticed I gained a bit of weight but nothing crazy and I’d get the odd spot but once I switched for desogestrel I noticed crazy bleeding and I’ve heard a lot about bleeding on it. I was worried about Yasmin because I’ve heard of people dyiny etc and I don’t know I guess because I ordered it online and a doctor never prescribed it I was just worried but I am now thinking I should go back to Yasmin or even the patch? Or another pill like Yasmin. I don’t know because years ago after losing a baby desogestrel was what was recommended by a doctor but they never spoke to me or anything just put me on that? My sister has been on the patch over a year and she’s been fine so I’m thinking either the patch or back to Yasmin?

I think it would help for you to talk through your options. Can you see your GP? Yasmin is usually really good for acne (I was put on it as a teenager for this reason).

If you're in the UK check the nhs website as there are certain pharmacy's that offer contraception. You go into a little room with a pharamacist and they can discuss things and give you a prescription rather than having to wait for a DRs appointment

I had a stroke whilst taking Yasmin. Please be so careful and don't take this without consulting your GP first

Google for your nearest sexual health clinic. They'll talk contraception with you and be better at it. I got the coil at mine after a doctor couldn't get it in
