Can ovulation tests predict pregnancy

Hi I woke up not feeling too good last night my period is due in five days, I only had ovulation tests in the house and I heard before they can predict pregnancy? Can anyone confirm this is true this was my fmu. Thanks

Not 100% but I was told that they can do as the tests can’t distinguish between LH and HCG as they have similar structure

They deffo can as I experimented with this when I was very pregnant but at 5 days before af I'd say that'd be far too strong a line on an opk to pick up pregnancy but don't take my word for it

Does that mean late ovulation or just nothing if it’s not pregnancy

I tried this and my LH was stronger before my BFP but not sure how reliable it is. My test line was dark but not as dark as the control line on the ovulation test. Good luck!

done a test and didn’t see a second line done an ovulation test straight after and it had two lines again, I’m just confused surely it’s too late to ovulate as I had gotten positive ovulation tests earlier in my cycle

Not sure about the ovulation tests predicting but 5 days until your period is due may still be too early for a pregnancy test to show two lines

Make sure the one you're using is an early detection one (10mIU/ml) and try again in a couple of days 🤞🏻

You might have tried to ovulate previously and failed and your body is now ovulating again
