Hi all
Thank you so much for reading...
I feel so so so upset and stressed. I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks via d&c... rushed 3 days before my wedding. This was in april. Went on our honeymoon and got my first period 4 weeks ago. Been ttc and due either tomorrow or Wednesday going off my old cycles and for the past 3/4 days about once a day I've had light pink or rusty CM when wiping. I thought maybe implantation bleeding but my tests are stark white.

Just feel super upset as if its not implantation bleeding are my cycles now messed up?
Anyone had IB and taken a while to get a bfp?
Thank you from a very anxious lady... 😟

Very normal spot mid cycle, i wouldn't be anxious about it

Fingerscrossed88 · 24/06/2024 07:47

@Outliers thank you so much for replying. But I don't think it's mid cycle spotting as that would mean my cycle is 6 weeks? I'm on day 31. I have just never had this before and not sure whether to take it as my period?

It can take a while for cycles to go back to normal after a miscarriage, so I wouldn’t worry.

Fingerscrossed88 · 24/06/2024 08:03

@Overthebow 😪 thank you, I just want everything to feel normal again

Sorry you've been through this @Fingerscrossed88. I had a D&C at 10 weeks in March and it took nearly 8 weeks for my period to return. Turns out, it was a period at all as I bled again 18 days later and 18 days after that I found out I was pregnant!

So my cycles never actually returned to normal before my next BFP. Terrified of how this one will go as it's all a bit soon, but just shows it can happen. Wishing you the best.

@KittyFantastica huge congratulations on your rainbow 🌈. That is so lovely to hear and what a suprise.
I honestly had no idea how hard the miscarriage would continue to hit, not having my regular cycles etc back is just a constant reminder.
It is honestly the most isolating experience. I do not know anyone personally who has been through one and its just so hard to navigate

Thank you @Fingerscrossed88 and bless you you're so right, it's extremely isolating and takes such a long time to process.

I don't know if you feel the same, but I thought there would be relief once it was all over and I could get my life back a bit, but I took ages to heal and then didn't get my cycle back, so felt like my body might never recover. I was literally just starting to make some plans and organise myself again when I got the latest positive test.

I know the frustration of waiting and hoping for AF to show up so you can feel like the line had been drawn under the heartbreak. I'll bet you do know people in real life who may have had losses and they just haven't said anything. I'm always afraid I'll trigger someone by mentioning mine, so I don't tend to, it I do wish it wasn't quite so taboo to bring up. Our losses were real and the grief substantial to us.

Wishing all the best for you ❤️

I'm sorry for your loss ❤️ I just wanted to reassure you like the others have that this is perfectly normal and it can take a few months to get back to normal. Mine definitely took a bit of time after I had a mmc. Congratulations on your wedding 🎉

Fingerscrossed88 · 25/06/2024 08:38

Thank you both so so so much for your replies. It is reassuring to know that this is normal for it to be messed up. Yesterday and today I have ewcm again so who knows what the hell my hormones are doing now. 🙃
.trying to remind myself that my body has been through alot. I just wish I knew if I was ovulating or having a period...

Have you done any OPKs @Fingerscrossed88

I was mid-way through an intermittent bleed when I noticed an absolutely flood of EWCM. I hardly ever get any, usually a tiny spec about 3 days before I ovulate, but this was excessive and, of course, I was still bleeding, so not looking like usual. I knew it wasn't like a period though, it was the wrong consistency. Did the OPKs on CD8 and 9 and lo and behold a blazing positive for ovulation.

I didn't think it was possible, but we'd had sex over those two days anyway without thinking about it much. I assumed it wasn't possible because I was still bleeding. Lots of people end up getting pregnant before the return of periods, apparently. It just helps for dating. I've no idea how to date my pregnancy now 😅

Fingerscrossed88 · 25/06/2024 18:15

@KittyFantastica omg!!! This is literally what is happening to me! I text my hubby this morning saying I've never had more ewcm! I stupidly have no lh strips. I'm normally hyper organised and this is for sure teaching me to go with the flow 😁
Bless you re the dates, I would be the same! Ah the joys of being a woman...

I can only say, if you want to be pregnant, don't have sex for the next few days. And if you do want to be pregnant again, go, go, go! 🫣

Fingerscrossed88 · 26/06/2024 10:34

@KittyFantastica oh we desperately want to be pregnant again. Despite how scared I am to go through it again it's all I want!!
Thank you! Despite the horrible heat we will try 😁
