Cycle day 36 - late ovulation?

I am not actively TTC but not on any contraception. My cycle is normally about 30/31/32 days and normally ovulate cycle day 18ish! I am now on cycle day 36 and absolutely no sign of periods. I have taken a test this morning which was negative, however I only had sex cycle day 23 and 28 this month. Could u have ovulated that late? I don’t think I’m pregnant as surely on cycle day 36 I would get a BFP on a test? Anyone had anything similar?

You could of had a late ovulation so to early to show positive on a pregnancy test or have you had any illness this month extra stress?. Or you could of not ovulated at all.

I'm on cd28 and still not positive ovulation test when normally I ovulate CD20. Due my period cd31 but I don't see it happening since I haven't ovulated and no signs of ovulation happening now so not sure what's going on. I have read of people ovulating a week or so late which could be the case for you. I'm now 9 days from when I normally get peak ovulation test.

So I could possibly be pregnant? If I had sex 12 days ago now, would that not show on an early pregnancy test by now? So bizzare. Iv never been this late!

It depends when you ovulated. You might or might not. Like the pp said you might not have ovulated - which is the same for me but I'm hoping that's not the case. I'm worried about my body being haywire 4 months after my MC 😭

So if you've ovulated late it could of been anywhere between 10th-20th June as you said dtd cd 23 and cd 28 sperm can live up to 5 days so in theory it could be to soon to get a positive on a hpt.

I ovulated on cd 28 this month after a very long cycle 97 days after a MC in February. I didn't get a period until late may .
I use bbt opk and pdg test to confirm ovulation.
I would definitely leave it a few more days and if negative leave it another few days and test again.

Sorry to hear about your MC.
I took cq10 and seven seas pre pregnancy vitimins to help with egg quality . I had my levels checked with a blood test and my LH FSH are normal.
I lost hope but hoping now af returned I get my BFP early July

Hey ladies, I am in a similar situation.

Currently cycle day 36, no sign of AF, BFN last Friday and this morning. So thought I'll test again on Friday as then I would be 10 days late.

However, just to baffle myself even more I took an ovulation test and it came back as peak fertility! So I either failed to ovulate twice and it's now happening or I'm pregnant?

Im cd 32, usually have 29/30 day cycles. I ovulated (confirmed with progesterone) around cd9/10. No sign of AF, and I’ve got EWCM.

ive just done ovulation tests and negative, so no bloody idea!

@Suburbandreams I feel you lovely. I genuinely thought the copious amounts of EWCM and thin milky discharge I've had was because I was pregnant! However, that OPK has thrown me off completely😫

This was me this month. Allowed myself to believe I was pregnant completely. Had all the signs, and have been absolutely exhausted. Did a CB digital and had a big fat “NOT PREGNANT”. Almost makes it worse seeing that!

I did hear though that positive OPKs can be an indicator of pregnancy as some of them confuse the hormones with HCG?

@Suburbandreams I would wait until at least a week late lovely and test again! Remember you're not out until AF arrives.

Yes, I've heard this too however given I've had EWCM 3 times this month I think I may just be ovulating incredibly late!

Shall test again on Friday to be doubly sure that I'm not pregnant🙃

How you getting on? Still no AF for me, officially CD35, which is the longest cycle I’ve had even including my CP.

Tested with CB yesterday (digital, not FMU) and it was a stark negative. Still keeping everything crossed though!

Cycle day 39, officially 10 days late. Still none the wiser. I tested yesterday and it was as white as white can be!

I've given up hope now tbh! My body clearly doesn't work😔

I’m now CD36- negative tests all round, pregnancy and ovulation. I don’t get it- I’ve heard of cycles where you don’t ovulate, but I had positive CB and then double checked by testing my progesterone which was positive a week after the suspected ovulation. After this I think I’m going to stop testing so much and just try to DTD every other day. I’ve contacted IVF clinics as this is complete torture which only people who are TTC could ever really understand!

Hope you’re ok, and keeping my fingers cross we both get that BFP soon.

I contacted my private GP yesterday and asked to be referred to the gynaecologist, 9 months of trying (which I know isn't as long as some) and now an irregular cycle.

I hope we do too lovely🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I’ve just finally had some spotting, no AF usual symptoms but I’m guessing she is finally on her miserable way.

At least I can start again now, no idea what happened this cycle but onto the next. This is our final month before we start IVF.

I’ve been palmed off with our GP, just told not to stress and it will happen. But one positive test in 12 months isn’t great odds, I do get private healthcare with work so might ask for a referral too!
