So confused... AMH level

Hiya,

I'm super confused. I have took 2 AMH tests from 2 different companies a week apart, as I am weird lol. The first result was 30 pmol/l. The second results was 22 pmol/l. How can this fluctuate so much in a week?! I did ovulate between these two tests so unsure if this impacted or.

I am now super worried and wish I'd never taken them 😔 I'm stressing my levels are rapidly going down. Any advice??

I was told it is usually better to take these type of tests in the same laboratory. They May have different measurements, devices etc. Both of these are completely normal values of amh and indicate good ovarian rezerve. Your fsh level day 3 is maybe even more important

As PP, different labs different measurements. Also how long the sample was left before testing (it needs to be done fairly quickly after the blood is taken). I have had 5 AMH tests over the years (I had many rounds of IVF to have my child) and the results have jumped around all over the place, including increasing which should not be possible as you can't increase egg reserve, so personally I do not trust the accuracy of this test. In any case, it is just one part of the picture. It really needs to be looked at in conjunction with AFC get a better picture.
