High HCG levels but no yolk sac at 5+3

Hi everybody, this is my first post here. I have been TTC for 18 months, I am now 41, last month just as we were preparing ourselves for our first IVF round, I got a positive pregnancy test. I went back home (not from the UK originally) for a wedding and I managed to see a gynaecologist who did a transvaginal US at 5+3. They said the gestational sac was measuring 1-2 days behind and that they could not see a yolk sac yet but that I shouldn't worry conception dates aren't always exact despite me knowing the ovulation date. I measured beta hCG at 4+6 and subsequently at 5+4 to see whether there was a good development however they had only doubled once in 5 days and also I am now freaking out as they seem too be too high according to all of the website I looked at. They were 5010 at 4+6 and 13962 at 5+4. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I worry that with hCG that high not seeing a yolk sac is a bad sign and also that they were doubling every 81 hrs on average which is also not quite normal, although I have read that after reaching 6000 mIU/l the doubling slows down to 72-96 hrs. Thanks for anyone who'll take time to reply!
