Period pains with implantation bleed?

I think I'm just clutching at straws here. I am on cd27 of a (normally) 31 day cycle. This morning I had a bit of brown blood and thought AF had started, however I've had nothing more since then. Since lunchtime I've been crampy and had period pains in my back. Has anyone had an implantation bleed with period pains or are they normally painless? As I said I think I am just straw clutching and it is probably just my body playing tricks on me!

Realistically? It could be implantation or ot could be pre-period spotting.

If it is something that you have not noticed about your cycle previously then, hey, I'm there on Friday morning whilst you pee on that stick!!!

Well still just spotting. Caved in this morning and did a test but got BFN. I'm a bit nervous though as I've only had spotting once before. On that occasion I started spotting on the day my period was due but no period came. I tested when I was a week late and got BFP but it ended up being ectopic.

I'm a bit scared it could be happening again. Just wondering if anyone reading this has had an ectopic and when did they test positive?
