Hi guys, sorry for the long one.
So I am on month 11 of TTC after a miscarriage at 12 weeks July 2023 (found at the 12 week scan that baby stopped growing at 6/7 weeks). I was expecting this as I had ongoing cramps and spotting since 6 weeks - I did have an early scan when it started where there was a heart beat.
I had medical management of miscarriage but ended up profusely bleeding and passing out at home, landed myself in resus with a blood pressure of 54/36 and had emergency EVAC. From what I was told, initially used vacuum but didn't stop bleeding so needed light curettage.
We were keen to start TTC again as soon as possible. Periods returned exactly 28 days following the surgery but they were very light (could've probably only made do with the one pad for the entire time I was bleeding with room to spare)...it would also go on for about 2 weeks. This went on for a while and periods were 28-35 days long (longer rather than shorter) having previously had 28 days cycles. Periods have slowly gotten heavier and my last period was probably the first that was almost like a normal period pre-miscarriage, however cycles are now 27 days long 🤦🏼♀️
I've had my day 21 progesterone done in March which showed I ovulated but I think this was one of very few times since last year (I have been doing OPKs). Also had an ultrasound that showed a very thin endometrium of 5mm a few days before expected period (told was meant to be 16-18mm thick at this stage). Other bloods also showed my 17-hydroxyprogesterone was high (6.3) - not sure of the significance of this though.
I already have one DD who is now 2.5, took 7 months to get pregnant with her with no complications in pregnancy.
I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has had anything similar and wondered what happened? I have been referred to fertility clinic but worried how long this will take to be seen.
