perfunctory Sex while TTC...

So... I am guessing I am not alone?
Last night my BF lliterally said 'come on then, let's do it now' because he knew I had to go out later on to ferry my sister around. So off we went for a quickie, no foreplay, no build up, more like 'wham band thank you mam' and then I left to go pick up my sister!

It's nice that he's keen on this baby idea and that he's aware of when I am fertile and the importance of doing it at the right time but I felt really 'un-wooed'!

We have a great Sex life ... am I ruining it?

Hi bs! I don't think you are ruining it but I think it is ineviatbel that it becomes a bit more functional around ov time as you need to do ti whether you want to or not! For us, at teh advanced age of 40 and having been together 16 years, that can be a benefit as we are a bit lazy and sex can get put to the bottom of our huge to do list - at least ttc brings it up to the top !

RR - agree also re not making a big deal of it to dh. It can be nice if they think they are just suddenly irresitible rather than you just wanting them to make a baby!

DS1 was conceived after I siad "ok then but I'm only taking one leg out of my 'jamas" We'd been trying for ages and it was the right moment but I really didn't feel up for it for fun. Make some time for yourselves sometimes and don't worry if it's not stardust and earthquake like every time.

Homebird!

I think I should be pleast he's so 'on board', but I hope I get pregnant soon and then we can go back to having wild sex.

I was off wild sex until about 20 weeks and then I just wore DH out!

I feel really under pressure to try even harder, but I am not sure he does to be honest, and I think that's what I miss. It's all about sticking it in and doing the deed then going back to what we were doing

Even though the rest of the time we are having a 'normal' sex life, the couple of times we do it to conceive (ie when I know I am ovulating) are a bit weird
