Hiya,

Bit of background, we have undergone ICSI treatment due to a failed vasectomy reversal - no fertility problems aside from this.

We had our egg retrieval yesterday (06/06/2024) and retrieved 13 eggs, 11 of which were mature, however, 5 fertilised. Due to my response to medication and number of follicles (24) I was deemed high risk of OHSS. Therefore, we have been moved to a freeze all cycle.

We won't hear anything until Wednesday (12/06/2024) on whether any has made it to the blastocyst stage and is able to be frozen.

I have spent all today being unproductive and exhausted and just worrying about the outcome - this was privately funded by ourselves and I cannot lie the concern over if it doesn't work and none progress weighs on me, as we are not in the position to be able to pay thousands out again any time soon.

I guess I am just looking for a little reassurance with some success stories similar to ours.

Sending baby dust and luck to all those TTC.

@Welshie93 hey , I cannot give you a definite answer but I am here for you if you need to talk , I know exactly how you feel waiting for the results on your embryos , it’s horrible horrible wait . I have just been for EC 2 weeks ago myself and the waiting was soul destroying . My fresh trasfer has just failed too from that egg collection . But I did get updates on day 1,3 and 5 , which made it a little easier to wait . Wishing you luck xx
