12dpo...if it's all in my head, tell me now

Sorry, massive Swiftie here.

This is all new to me. First time TTC, first cycle, tracking on Flo app. I feel like I'm pregnant already but also convinced its all in my head.

Currently 12dpo, BFN on test this morning.

Symptoms:
So thirsty! Peeing and drinking constantly.
Bad cramps and a light 2 day bleed on Sunday/Monday.
Nausea and heartburn since Monday evening.
Fatigue.
Sore boobs.

Then today I've had the worst headache all on my left side, from moment I woke up until about 6pm.

I have a 31 day cycle, and AF due in 3 days. But desperate to know before then, am I pregnant?! How do people cope with the TWW?!

Have you done a test? Symptoms sound good and sometimes you just know but when I was pregnant with my son I had absolutely no symptoms until I was about 5 or 6 weeks pregnant so I don't symptom spot anymore and whenever I have had symptoms I've not been pregnant they've just been period symptoms lol! If you have a gut feeling, I'd do a test! Fingers crossed for you! X

Hiya, so odd isn't it how symptoms don't always match up!
I've done 3, on days 10, 11 and 12. Just cheapy tests from pharmacy. But I've got a clear blue coming today from Amazon, going to try to wait to do test tomorrow morning which would be 14dpo and day before AF due.
Realistically I think I'll end up testing as soon as Amazon arrives, I've just no patience lately!

If I get negative by 11/12 dpo I assume I’m out. There’s always the odd story of people getting late positives but generally people would show a faint positive by a day or 2 before period
Unfortunately you just become more alert to changes in your body while ttc that you wouldn’t have noticed before

I agree with this, I'm the same. I got my BFP 11dpo with my DS and although I know every pregnancy is different and there are amazing stories of late BFPs I have also read some studies that show later implantation are more likely to end in miscarriage which makes me anxious so I either wait until AF due to test to avoid heartache or test 10 or 11dpo to look for faint positives to see if I ovulated/implanted when I think.

Thanks for all your support, I am trying to temper my expectations, but it's difficult. Today's test was negative. Not sure if I've got my dates wrong. Flo app is saying I'm day 11 today, wasn't sure whether to count from the day I think I ovulated or the end of the ovulation window? Flo also says I'm day 31 of cycle today and AF due tomorrow, so we'll see soon I suppose. Fingers crossed 🤞

Any update?

Still no sign of AF. No longer having "symptoms" other than nausea/heartburn after eating.
Last test was negative 3 days ago, Flo app is telling me to test from tomorrow?
If it's a BFN this cycle, I'm confused about when to start again though as no AF?
It's not straightforward, this TTC business is it?

You should try the ovulation sticks to pin point ovulation and then work out your definite period due date. My apps are not accurate.
I always know that 14dpo my af will start
but sometimes my ovulation day varies between day 10 and day 15- for day 15, it would seem on the app like my period was late if I had a late ovulation that month iyswim, but in fact it would not be late as still 14dpo- hope that makes sense.
it’s difficult to get your head around but once you get the hang of it, it makes more sense
