Hello!

Here are my tests starting with approx 12 days - 18 days dpo with several tests a day. I know, I’m mad. However, in the last year I’ve had an ectopic and 4 chemicals (two from IVF). These are all Poundland First Views with 20uml…any more expensive ones would bankrupt me with my compulsive need to test!

On 14dpo I had a 1-2 weeks CB digi.

I’m very paranoid that my early pregnancy isn’t progressing (and links to my symptoms which are doing the same e.g. the boobs are the same tenderness and not increasing etc.) The last test is still a little wet.

Honestly, would you be a bit concerned?

Thanks for reading!

I’d say probably cause they couldn’t be any darker there is a limit. Try not to worry they all have lines

I honestly would not be concerned. And sorry I can’t resist a little rant about how MN seems to have created this culture about ‘line progression’, with women asking to see each others LP etc. Really that’s not how pregnancy tests work and comments like ‘that’s a nice strong line’ are often just so people have something to say besides congratulations. I really think there should be a collective commitment not to encourage this practice. I’m not chastising you - congratulations - I understand you’re just anxious for your little bean to thrive. But you need to throw the tests away, honestly, doing this is not a means to reduce anxiety but to increase it.

In the nicest way possible, step away from the tests. They're doing nothing for your mental health and checking the line progression on cheap tests isn't a reliable way of checking the advancement of pregnancy.

Please take a deep breath and if you're struggling with anxiety, contact your EPU for a reassurance scan xxx

I hope you have a healthy, happy pregnancy! Congratulations xxx

Thank you so much!

I agree wholeheartedly and it would be the advice I’d give to anyone else.

I think I’m just trying to brace myself for disappointment or even worse attending an early viability scan and seeing nothing - I’ve cried too many times at scans (so many during IVF).

I recognise that this culture of line progression is costing me the enjoyment of an exciting time.

Thanks again x

Congratulations 🥳

Pee on a stick addiction is real and a nightmare! Lots of us can relate.

If you possibly can, move away from the tests.
