Hi ladies,

I’m 16dpo, had implantation cramping 11dpo so could well have been a late implanted, but I tested positive 12dpo on easy at home and was 1-2 weeks on a clear blue digital, and I have tested positive since every but with no progression really and quite faint lines.

I also think the batch of easy at home tests I’ve been using have either more dye or are faulty as they have given much stronger positives than first response, clear blue AND another batch of easy at home test strips I had lying around (they are slightly longer, but still the 10ml sensitivity ones) - so I think I had a fair bit of false hope to begin with.

I’m under no impression that my faint lines are promising, of course it ain’t over until the fat lady sings (miss AF herself), but I feel as though this is a chemical. My boobs were proper sore and swollen 12/13/14dpo but they now are less full, still a bit sore, but I definitely feel those symptoms disappearing and like I’m less pregnant…

HCG on 14dpo was 34 and I’m waiting for my 16dpo levels but again not expecting those to be much better.

ANYWAY…. I haven’t bled yet, and I’m in that horrible limbo stage. I want to close the door on this heartbreaking chapter and prepare myself for the next stages, but without any bleeding and still testing positive I don’t know when that will be!?

Could I ask advice on:

  • Any success stories about conception after chemicals
  • When can I expect to bleed?
  • Have any of you not bled with a suspected chemical? If so, when did you start DTD again in the hopes of falling pregnant?

Sorry for the rant and appreciate all the supportive words xxxxx

I know lots of people do use the dip sticks to check for progression but I didn't find it reliable with my first - I could dip two in the same sample and get different strengths - they'd both be positive but differing degrees. I was convinced something was wrong but she's now 5 yrs old and I had no complications at that stage

What is different is if your hCG levels aren't progressing - those should hopefully give you a bit of a clearer answer. Or if your tests start to get very faint / negative.

I don't want to give you false hope but also don't bow out too early! As you said, it's not over until it's over. Wishing you the best of luck
