Private hCG bloods

I've seen a few people mention getting private hCG blood tests done - 48 hrs apart to check progression.

I don't remember having any hCG bloods done in my first pregnancy, they just took my word for it I think?! I did have screening bloods.

Outside of fertility treatment is anyone getting private hCGs done? Is this going in for a blood draw or at home? Does anyone have an idea of cost?

I think it depends on the Trust thats providing your care. Some will test you either with bloods or urine at 6/7weeks when a heartbeat is detectable via sonogram.
