Cycle 10 ttc- will it ever happen?

Feeling fed up.. currently cycle 10 ttc #1 and about 6dpo. I feel exactly the same as every other cycle and I know it’s early but already feel like it’s not our month. Anyone else feel like this? Almost want to just give up and just feel like it’s never going to happen!

@Elxt Going through the exact same thing- same month of trying, same dpo and also trying for baby number 1!
Genuinely don’t know if it’ll ever happen…💔we went for private fertility assessments and I have a thin uterus lining and my OH has lower than average sperm count so I know it could take a while… but it’s so heartbreaking every month. Regardless of being told a year is normal (sometimes even longer) it’s still hard isn’t it. Sending lots of baby dust your way ✨

This could literally be us! My partner has 2% morphology but otherwise rest okay so slight issue but they said it shouldn’t stop anything happening and my tests have shown normal however when I’ve researched I also think my lining is a bit thin!! How thick was yours for them to comment on it? Fingers crossed for us both that our time comes soon, feel like everyone around me is getting pregnant without even having to try x

@Elxt my OH has got motility and morphology, just low count with no obvious reason why, I’m sure once we hit the year mark it’ll get investigated then. We’ve also been told that it should necessarily stop us from conceiving naturally either but it’s starting to feel as though it’s not the case right now 🤦🏻‍♀️
I had a couple of scans at different points in my cycle- CD30 (one day before period) it was a shockingly low 2.5mm so impossible for any implantation! The following month at CD20 it was 5.7mm which apparently is fine, on the low side but fine. I’ve been taking lots of supplements and foods/drinks to help so hopefully it’s actually made a difference.
Yes, fingers crossed for us both! And hopefully it’ll be all the more sweeter because of our wait… I know what you mean about everyone getting pregnant/having babies… my younger sister got pregnant first month of trying and my cousin just had there baby today, again after trying for one month. 🙈 x

Sending all the baby dust your way and know you’re not alone 💛 it’s just the worst. We’re month 17 of TTC. We were at a wedding last weekend and I’ve never seen so many bumps and babies under one roof, plus five friends are are due this summer - it’s heart breaking.

Something that is giving lots of hope though is DH’s morphology went from 0% to 5% in just 3-6 months which I really hope will improve our chances. He switched to alcohol free beer, decaf tea, only one coffee a day, gave up protein shakes plus lots of fish, nuts and a Mediterranean diet.

He also took Impryl on the recommendation of our fertility doctor which I think may have done the trick as we’re already healthy and active.

I have low AMH so have started taking too after being amazed at his results.

Hope all of our wishes come true very soon, we’ll be so grateful xx

I felt exactly the same and tried everything in the book (legs up after sex, OPK testing, having sex 4days before ovulation during and after, having sex every second day, having sex only around ovulation, everything.

I’ve finally got my BFP after months and months of trying and what worked this time…

  • I ditched the Clearblue digital ovulation sticks and borrowed the Clearblue fertility monitor which actually said my peak days were different to those on the digital tests (it’s more accurate as your start testing from the first date after your period ends)
  • I cut out all caffeine, alcohol and processed sugar. It was tough but after a while, I had never felt better.

I do think that getting yourself to the healthiest you’ve ever been can help and if you don’t conceive, at least you feel good about yourself that month.

I really hope you get your BFP soon ❤️

Hi ladies, I’m in a similar boat and wondering if you had any updates on your stories? Hubby has slightly low count! Xxx

I'm 39, partner is in 50s and it has taken us 10 months to conceive number 2. Age is probably a factor. I'm with PP - I tried to get as healthy as I could, cut out alcohol, DH did the same and we just went for it in and around Ovulation, which I tracked with the Clearblue tracker. Best of look to you all. Definitely worth hanging in there if you can take the emotions/ disappointment every month x
