Hello! We've been TTC for sixth cycles on and off with no luck yet. I have known fertility issues (endo and low egg reserve) so it's not a surprise to me that nothing has happened yet and it's not been long anyway. However last year my GP gave me Mefenamic Acid for very painful/heavy periods. I've now found out (having read the leaflet - should have done that before..) that you shouldn't take it when TTC and that it makes getting pregnant more difficult. I've read around and can see that it may delay ovulation but I'm unsure why this would make it harder to get pregnant if you track ovulation which I do. I can see the same can be said for other anti inflammatories.
I will stop taking them now just in case but my periods are going to be so much worse without them, which will be hard. Does anyone have experience with these tablets? Just wondering if I've wasted the last six cycles or whether the affect of them is overstated anyway and I should just forget about it and move on! Thank you.
