Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

Cd 38, 16dpo. BFN this morning.

Last few days I've been having lots of discharge that's like ewcm but thinner.
If I'd had a regular 28 day cycle I would be cd 10 and in my fertile window... Is it possible to skip a period and ovulate again? I've taken an opk today as well and it's low ... Will attach a pic of them both.

Sorry I have no idea. Do you know you ovulated last month? I don’t really know how this all works. Just here to share the frustration and confusion. Have you missed periods before?

I got a clear peak last month (Dec 21) and then ovulation pains Dec 22

My cycles have become really irregular since June/July for some unexplained reason.
I went from 26-28day cycles on the dot to random days my last few have been
28, 26, 32, 28, 42, 32

How old are you @SkaterChick? Not to put a downer on things but could it be peri menopause if your cycles have become so irregular with no explanation?

I'm 34.
I had surgery to remove a contraceptive coil at the start of last year and they said everything looked healthy, I was ovulating, no fibroids or pcos or endo, no scarring etc.

Could you go to your GP and explain your cycles to them? My boss started peri menopause at 35 ☹️ I’m sure they’d be happy to run checks for you to make sure everything is ok.

I contacted them when I had the 42 days cycle in October and they basically said they won't do anything unless its been happening for over 6m. It's probably been about that now but who knows when I'll actually be able to get an appointment

Everyone in my life is getting pregnant which is difficult.
I've been on and off nauseous all day BUT I would have expected a hint of a line on a test by now if I was pregnant.
I hate this unknown of waiting and not knowing when my period is gonna show

Could be a chemical, I had one last month and took a while to get a positive test but it went a few days after. I really hope that’s not the case for you but apparently a CP is a good sign of fertility and that your body is set up to accept pregnancy, it’s just something was wrong with the make up of that sperm and egg. The not knowing is the worse part so I hope you get an answer soon x

I’ve had ovulation pain for the last 10+ years and so far ttc I’ve said I didn’t see the point of testing ovulation as I can feel it. I’ve tested this week. Had a low reading Monday and Tuesday, high yesterday but still not peak and then back to low again today. Also had awful ovulation pain for 10 hours from yesterday afternoon a few days earlier than normal. Any idea what that means??

Are you using the premom app? I find it never reads my tests properly and even though my test line is as dark or darker than the control the highest reading it’s ever given me is 0.6 so I just go with how I feel and know that it was my strongest OPK.

No. Complete amateur I just got some ovulation tests from Boots. If I haven’t ovulated then what’s the pain about? Can my ovaries be trying to release an egg (hence the pain) but then not?? So confused. I did only test once per day.

Ah it could be that you’ve had a rapid rise and missed it with the tests then if you were only testing once a day.

My friend is having IVF and said her clinic advised her against testing ovulation because it’s really unreliable. She said to measure temp on waking.

It’s really confusing though. I’m going to book a fertility assessment to see whether anything’s going on. It seems counter productive to keep on going doing all the same things without seeing if there’s an underlying issue.

Unless I go privately my GP won't do anything yet.
She said 6months of irregular periods before they would investigate those and 1 year of TTC (until I turn 35 and then it's 6months) for a fertility assessment
(But my surgeon at the start of the year said everything looked great, no fibroids, no pcos, no endo etc) And my partner had some ultrasound's for a suspect testicular torsion and again they said everything was all fine.

I've thought about temperature taking but I can't find a thermometer that syncs with my phone, doesn't beep and doesn't cost the earth.
I set an alarm 30 mins before I need to wake up as I have to take medication 30 minutes min before I can eat or drink so I could potentially try and do it then.

Yeah I’m going to go privately. I’ve just turned 35 and have been to the gp but got lost down this kidney problem tunnel. I just think with the wait etc I’m going to have to just pay for peace of mind. I’m going to get some tests done to check that I am ovulating and then provided that I am then I’ll go off pain rather than the sticks.
My DD is nearly 4 and is just obsessed with the idea of having a sibling at the moment. Every day she asks why she’s the only child in her house because she’s lonely. She’s even started talking about having her own babies when she’s an adult so that she has someone to play with. Tough xxx

So it would appear that I cannot read a calendar and AF could arrive as soon as tomorrow, latest Wednesday. I was thinking Thursday for some reason! I normally spot 2 days before AF and that’s not happening today so don’t reckon it’s coming tomorrow but could still be Wednesday. I’m really crampy today and not sure what to make of that as my cramps don’t normally kick in until day 2 of AF. Staying hopeful as I’m utterly exhausted.

I'm wondering if Mt batch of internet cheapies was faulty idk.
It's weird cause I found out sooooo early with both my previous pregnancies that I just don't feel like I can trust it....m

@SkaterChick wonder if it’s the same dodgy batch I had last month! It ended up being a CP but all other tests were showing clear positives but not a hint of anything on the supposedly early detection Amazon cheapies.

I’ve got some FRER and clear blue digital arriving today but really want to hold off until I know that AF isn’t coming because I’m super anxious about it being another CP. When I was pregnant with my DD I didn’t get a positive until the day AF was due so don’t want to risk disappointment but I might do a FRER tomorrow morning 🙈
