Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

Hi! I know what you mean, with my son we got pregnant on cycle 2! Just had another BFN and I’m going to be away when I ovulate next month, so it’s gonna be at least a few more months. Good luck with the 2ww! Are you taking any supplements or anything?

Ah we're similar my son was second cycle too!

Awe sorry to hear that, it such a limbo isn't it! Thank you, I'm just taking vit d and folic acid atm but I keep seeing people mentioning coq10 so might look into that. Are you?

NattyPeer · 25/08/2024 09:21

10dpo negative pregnancy test so I will be joining you all for the September run! Sigh.

@NattyPeer cd1 for me all over again! Onward September 🤞🏻

I'm planning on ttc #2 next cycle. Currently 2dpo. #1 is only a few months 😆 and as much as I'd like to wait a few more months , time isn't on my side as I'll be turning the big 40 next year so I just kinda wanna go with the flow and if it happens it happens. After years and years struggling to get pregnant, we fell pregnant naturally but miscarried in 22 then #1 was an ivf pregnancy so I'm not holding out much hope of a natural conception again but no harm in trying and if not in 6 months we'll go ahead with another egg collection. I have pcos and cycles have only became more regular past 2 years . I only found out during investigations that I was never ovulating before

I’m taking omega 3, ubiquinol (coq10), and proceive max… not sure it actually does anything but the fertility specialist I saw approved. Thinking of adding baby aspirin as I was recommended it when pregnant with DC1. AF showed up saturday, 3 days early, so my cycles are now anywhere from 24 to 30 days! It’s all so unpredictable!

But on the bright side, I might ovulate before I leave now… How are you getting on?

ive just read your previous messages! We’re also on proceive which our doctor also seemed to okay. I’ve just ordered some coq10… and have a hycosy scheduled for next week 😩

I’m tentatively scheduled to have one early October! DH getting his swimmers tested first, as I thought there wouldn’t be enough time between af and me going away this
cycle (before af showed up early). Good luck and 🤞!!

Back in the game…. Got my static smiley yesterday morning. Feeling positive and trying to remember 3 cycles trying for #2 isn’t long in reality (but it’s hard)

Hey everyone!

I found out my sister in law is pregnant yesterday, due in March. Is it normal to feel a bit sad about it?

We really wanted a baby due in March/April and have to miss May/June because we're full of birthdays (& we planned to be practical with the baby making) but I think I've got to a point where I just want a baby now (because it's not happening)!

Woke up this morning and it's the first thing I've thought about, spoke to my husband about it and he said we will try again in a couple of months and now I'm just sad. 😞

Sorry to read this, I completely understand. Not a family member but we have a small group of NCT friends from my DS and just after I'd had an early loss one announced she was pregnant (the first one in the group). It hit me really hard and I felt just awful for quite a while and a lot of jealously. Couldn't stop thinking about it, was on my mind constantly. I can imagine it being harder within the family as you will have it around you a lot more whereas I could avoid it to some extent.

VioIetMoon · 31/08/2024 10:35

@beansread I don't know your back story but what your feeling is completely normal.
When someone announces a pregnancy your expected to feel happy but when your TTC yourself it's hard.
Took us 18 years to conceive DS , he's an ivf baby . My entire 20s and most of my 30s were spent feeling sad on the inside at everyone else announcing pregnancies.
I'm desperate to get pregnant again as my pregnancy was filled with so much dread and anxiety that I couldn't enjoy it. I didn't get to experience those first few weeks of newborn life as DS was in nicu and I just want to feel it again. First time round because it had taken so long to have him, we didn't share the news with anyone. I'm so grateful in the end ivf finally worked for us as I know for some women out there it just never works but it's just really shit not being able to get pregnant and completing our family as we'd like. Even tho I'm blessed to have DS I'd feel really down with pregnancy announcements

This is super normal.
My brother's gf got pregnant when they wernt even trying and after meeting my nephew I cried all the way home as we had been TTC for a year. I got a bfp a couple weeks later followed by an eptopic miscarriage so I found being around them really hard. I hid it but inside I would be holding him wondering when it would be my turn.

I personally would just keep trying as it maybe happen it may not. And what's one more birthday to get you your bfp 💜

Not sure where the end of August went.
I started with testing opks twice a day for a couple days. Then went away for 2 nights and forgot to take them with me so missed cd 12&13.
CD14 the early one was darker than any others this month but not a positive. The later one on Cd 14 was lighter (did 4 hour wee hold for all of them) and I had some right sided pains yesterday and again today
Forgot to do opk today as I had super busy day and then went to see beetlejuice.
My ewcm was there across cd 11-14 so fingers crossed the ovulation was in there somewhere.
We managed to dtd 3 times so hopefully one of them was well timed. But annoying I wont be sure when I ovulated

beansread · 07/09/2024 02:25

Thanks everyone for your kind reassurances regarding the SIL and her lovely baby news. I think after the initial sad feeling I was ok.

PMDD struck me really hard in August so things have been a bit rough for everyone in my household. Out of the woods now and seeing it as things going back to normal after the coil being removed!

Not sure when I ovulated, I did a test and it was at 1.31 which I believe is quite low but considering we werent supposed to be trying this month anyway I wasn't too fussed.

Turns out, my body (vagina) really wanted to try for a baby... if you know what I mean. Husband & I did the deed this evening and I think now I know it's not ideal to have a baby due in June, I'm not going to test for pregnancy and just ✨ wait to see ✨.

Personally, the relaxed approach is doing wonders for my MH this month so I really hope that you feel better too.

It seems you've 'filled up' (how gross is that analogy but I've stayed up watching love is blind and it's now 2am and brain is mush) so you might just be covered! Fingers crossed 🤞

Ps. We are in sync and I think I def ovulated today- don't know if that helps xx

sorry I have been quiet everyone just trying to not overthink things this month. I am very behind you all and not due to ovulate until some time next week!

Hi ladies, I was wondering if I could join! Currently TTC baby number two and have just had two back to back chemical pregnancies which has really took a hit on my mental health.

I know realistically I should be taking a break but something in me really struggles to stop trying, when we want it so badly.

My issue sometimes is not getting pregnant, but it is keeping the pregnancy. I've had three miscarriages now one before my son who is now three and a half, so my doctor has referred me for some testing but the wait for this is months and months and I'm not prepared to wait.

Hoping we all get a BFP soon 🩷

VioIetMoon · 07/09/2024 13:02

@Boymum1995 good luck.
I really struggled to get pregnant, ds is the result of ivf after an 18 year journey but I did get pregnant once naturally a few years ago and suffered a chemical and it hit me really hard so I can't imagine having to endure multiple like you. I found one soul destroying enough

Boymum1995 · 07/09/2024 15:58

Thank you @VioIetMoon 🩷

It may sound crazy but I don't want to wait a month to try, it's that strange urge to keep going.

Even though if this cycle is successful I'd be due baby two days after my 30th birthday from what I worked out 🥲

Good luck to you too.

Hey @Boymum1995 yes please do join! I am really sorry to hear about your chemicals! I know how soul destroying these are as he one in January then June! I just feel like my time won’t come 😩

From what I have read from a physical point of view it’s ok to keep trying but it’s mental tough isn’t it! But then you don’t want to waste time is how I feel. I keep thinking if the January one would have stuck this month would be due month potentially!

do you have a date for the testing?!
