Pee?!

Hi ladies!!

Bit of a random one... I'm between 3-5 dpo (I had a miscarriage in April and haven't had a period yet so that's only going from ovulation tests and LH peak) and oh my goodness I CANNOT stop peeing! Last night I woke up 3 times bursting for a wee. Has anyone ever had this? Pregnant this early or even just after ovulation?

I don't have any pain whatsoever but still gonna get a doc appointment tomorrow to rule out UTI. Have been having a few shooting/sharp niggles a day and some lower back pain now and again (not constantly) so do wanna rule a UTI out but, without any pain or burning when I'm peeing I'm thinking it's more than likely hormonal?

Any experience or thoughts would be super appreciated x

It sounds like a UTI more than anything else.

@Shahhhh hello! I’m not sure I can help with the pee thing. In non-pregnant cycles I’d quite often need to pee more but usually not until around 8-10dpo. Research says it could progesterone, but 3-5dpo might be a bit earlier for that? Unless you ov’d earlier than you think?

Anyway, just wanted to reply to say I’m in the same position!! I had a miscarriage (missed) back in April too. I’m also in the TWW but haven’t had a period yet since the MMC. We were gonna wait til after my period came back but I ended up ovulating 3 weeks after my D&C instead of 2 so we accidentally timed DTD right on queue 😂

So glad to find someone else in this position too! I have aaall sorts of feelings about it but mainly want to be pregnant again so much.

I’m 10dpo and don’t feel like I have any symptoms which is a bit demoralising. By 6dpo in my pregnant cycle I had sore huge boobs, and nothing this time.

Going to try and hold out to 12dpo to test if I can!

It was my first symptom but not that early.

Ohhhh as awful as it is it's lovely finding people who are in the same boat 🫶🏻 I'm so sorry for your loss darling. I have everything crossed for you for 12dpo testing!

One thing I'm slowly learning is that my body is VERY different now (even ovulating was completely different from how it used to be!). I never used to get any sign of ovulation EVER - this time I had pretty bad cramps and all sorts. So you never know, maybe symptoms of pregnancy might be different this time around for you 💛

The TWW is awwwwful isn't it? I'm so aware of every niggle or sign in my body that it could be pregnancy and I'm only, like I say, 3-5 dpo. I did pee a lot in my first pregnancy, I was 7 weeks when I MC but we didn't find out until I was 3-4 weeks along. So maybe it's just my brain trying to convince me!

Gonna get an appointment to double check for UTI tomorrow but something is telling me in my body that it's not a UTI. Any time I've had one in the past I've had the burning when weeing, but don't have any of that. Just little niggles now and again but maybe that's hormonal after ovulation??? I dunno. We'll seee!!! Yeah that's the only thing thats making me doubt! My first pregnancy, it was a symptom for me too but we didn't find out until I was 3-4 weeks along so I know 3-5dpo would be far too early! I'll find out when I get checked for a UTI :) thanks for your comment! X

I’d definitely get checked for UTI. You can only get genuine pregnancy symptoms once implantation has happened and HCG started rising, but that won’t have happened yet. It was one of my first symptoms but only after 4 weeks pregnant

@Shahhhh I’m so sorry to hear about your loss too. It’s such a tough time isn’t it? I feel like I’m getting through it but little reminders will make me feel sad. I would have been 12 weeks yesterday and felt really and weepy sad most of the day.

That’s interesting that your ovulation symptoms are different. I wonder if it’s a hormonal thing. I’m wondering similar for me - I usually spot consistently from about 7dpo until AF arrives, but I’ve only had the tiniest bits after DTD on 7dpo and then a tiny bit yesterday at 9dpo. Trying not to convince myself it’s implantation 😅 So I’m wondering if there’s been a big shift in my hormones since the MMC. Might explain yours too!

I’ve been reading soo many stories about different symptoms in different pregnancies but, as with everything TTC-related, ofc there’s just no consensus on anything 😅 But it seems a lot of people do have no symptoms at all before a BFP.

Hmm yeah it probably doesn’t sound like a UTI you have. Whenever I’ve had that I’ve always had that horrible pain/internal itching thing. Be interested to hear what the dr thinks!

@Shahhhh I caved and did a test this morning at 11dpo and not even a hint of a line. So that's probably me out!! :(
