False Positive?!

10dpo today, took 2 Asda pregnancy tests this evening… as I just had a feeling The first test came back almost instantly as a faint positive. Few minutes later I took a second test which was BFN.

Then took a clear blue digital which was also BFN.
Been since reading reviews on Asda tests- there seems to be a lot of talk of false positives so now feeling so disheartened.

Do we think it’s more likely a case of false positive or false negatives??

False Positive?!

There’s so much dye bleed on there the whole white strip is pink, but where the positive line would be is actually white. What you are reading as a line is where the dye has stopped tracking along the strip. That isn’t a positive test I’m afraid. Re test in a couple of days.

Test again first urine of the day and try not to test again straight afterwards (I know that’s hard) as your HCG is strongest first thing. During the day it dilutes so if you’re early on a later test may show as negative. I know people have issues with them but I used the standard clear blue (the one that shows a cross if you’re pregnant) and then a digital the next day to confirm and had no issues with dye running or EVAP lines

I honestly thought this was a false positive as I had a negative digital that pm, but today (6 days later) with a late period, I tested again and got 2x BFP including a digital.

Delighted and surprised to stay the least !

I am not sure where @TooManySweetTreats was looking, there’s a clear second pink line on your first picture so I am not surprised to see your update! Congratulations!
