What day do you test?

I know it's supposed to be first day of missed period...!

But in reality, how many DPO do you start testing?

First day of missed period.

Last month like 3dpo because I had so many cheap tests (and first cycle ttc so I got excited!)😂 but I had a CP so I won’t be testing until first day of missed period!

It seems like a lot of people get their positives at 10DPO...? And then almost everyone by 12-14DPO.

Rarely hear of anything earlier than 10DPO!

I tested at 10dpo BFN, 11dpo BFN. Waited till I missed my period 14/15DPO BFP.
Some people will test earlier and see a line but I always think it's best to wait till you are late on your period.

I absolutely do not have the patience to wait. Got a clear positive at 10DPO on a FRER. I'm now TTC baby 2 and will definitely test at 10DPO again.

Oh honestly I'm 3dpo now and I did a test this morning hahaha. Obviously it was negative and I think you'd never ever get a positive any earlier than 10dpo but I completely understand not being able to wait!

I'll be 10DPO tomorrow and tempted to test - I have easy @ home tests so super sensitive - but not feeling at all pregnant. Is there any point?

Gearing self up for another round of endless disappointment...

This is the question playing on my mind currently! I’m ttc #1 and had my implant removed 14/05. No sign of AF and not sure what my cycles will be like having had sporadic ‘periods’ on contraception. We’ve been DTD every other day and I’m trying to work out how long to wait for AF/when to test. Current plan is first full week of June which seems ages away…

@hopeful4us I would honestly wait - you're so early on and unsure of cycle dates. Hopefully it all happens quickly for you but if not, this really can be a long and difficult journey... I would relax for the first few cycles to avoid the feelings of expectation and disappointment but def at least until you know your dates.

Have you been using ovulation tests @hopeful4us ? I was in a similar situation to you and using ovulation tests really helped me to understand where I was in my cycle and therefore when to have sex and when to test

Thanks for the words of wisdom @m00ngirl @imy - I haven’t started using OPKs yet but think I will do. It would be helpful for AF to arrive so I can properly track and understand my body better!
