Hi everyone,
got my bfp after many months of trying and many loses, this morning, but I also have brown discharge. I have a recurrent miscarriage appointment in 3 weeks time. But feeling so anxious. Has this happened to anyone else and it’s gone on to be a successful pregnancy? Also have very light cramps

How far along are you? I noticed this both times in my two pregnancies. One ended in a MMC but I assumed it was just to do with implantation as I was about 4 weeks each time.

@Berrylady Hope you don't mind me asking but is it your first appointment with the miscarriage team? I have mine next week and had my bfp on Sunday and wondering what to do about the appointment.

I had the same at 6 weeks; was all fine and I’m 20 weeks now.

Maybe implantation bleeding then?

A bit of brown discharge is not unusual so I wouldn’t panic just yet, though easier said. Happened with my first and I do remember how upset I was, but it stopped after a day and didn’t go on to red blood so fortunately all was ok. Wishing the same for you Op.

I had this on and off with my pregnancy and that same pregnancy is now two and a half. I think it can be a normal feature of pregnancy. Hoping that is the case for you.

So sorry you are going through this. You asked for positive stories - I spotted and bled (brown, pink, occasional red) off and on from 6 weeks [counting from first day of last period] until well into the second trimester of an IVF pregnancy (previous IVF pregnancy having ended in very early loss). I was an anxious mess throughout, but my baby arrived safe and well, 2 days from his due date.

Hoping that all will go well with you.

I was given progesterone support during the first trimester. With your history, would you be able to get advice from EPU or the miscarriage clinic on whether this could be helpful to you now?

Hi OP. A positive story here. I had a number of MC and then got pregnant with IVF. Come week 6 or 7 I got brown spotting again as I had in the past and was convinced it was going to be another MC as it was very similar /same as when I had Ahmad them before. However, nothing came of it and went in to have normal pregnancy and now have a lovely little girl to show for it. Fingers crossed for you x

@YYY-85 did you attend the appointment? I’m in the same situation and wondering if I should go or not? X
