When would you say the first day of my period is?

Hi ladies
8th May I started to brown spot everyday. Only had to wear a panty liner. Sunday (yesterday) I went out and wore a tampon as was wearing a dress. When I took the tampon out it was more brown blood but not a lot.
this morning I have started to cramp and bleeding
which day would be my first day?! Confused x

I would count it as first day of proper bleeding x

It's the first day you have fresh red blood.
