Hi everyone - this is my first post but I’ve been here a while!

Background: Trying to conceive for a year, we’ve had tests done so far and nothing has been found. I’m currently waiting for my next appointment with the GP.

My cycles are fairly regular. I ovulate around day 19-21 and then I have quite a short luteal phase 9-10 days. my cervical mucus usually appears about 6 days before ovulation. This month it appeared when I expected it to but it was tinged with blood - nothing bright red, it looked like the brown at the end of your period. This has continued every day and I expected to ovulate yesterday (and see a rise in BBT today) but nothing.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? The spotting is completely new - I’ve never had this. Wondering if it’s linked to why I haven’t ovulated when I thought I would and whether I’m in an
anovulatory cycle (which since tracking my periods - I’ve never had)

if anyone has any ideas that would be great. Obviously I’ll let my doctor know next time I see her but as I said, still waiting for an appointment!

Which blood tests have you already had done? Did you also have an ultrasound?

The brown could be old menstrual blood getting cleared out with the EWCM. Keep testing for ovulation signs in case they happen a bit later than usual.

I had a full blood work - there were loads of different ones - hormones, thyroid, cholesterol etc.
Ive had an internal and an ultrasound too which is why I’m not really worried it’s something serious because that all came back clear. Of course I’m worried it’s something that’s affecting my fertility though and as I’ve never had it before it’s a bit concerning. I will keep temping and treating it as if we’re before ovulation!

Hi I'm currently in a similar situation to you however haven't had any tests done. I ovulate day 18-22 and have never had spotting when I'm due to ovulate so worrying something isn't right. Is started vitamins this month to help my short luteal phase (8 days) so this might have something to do with it.. was everything ok for you?
