Hi all, I wonder if anyone has any experience with these? I have been using them for 7 months and always have my peek static face on the same day on my cycle. I then always start my period 15 days after that. It has been like that since I started using it. I also have a couple of days of flashing smiles before my static.
This month I got my flashing and then my static face 5 days earlier than usual. It then went back to just the plain circle and I left it 48 hours to try again, as per the instructions, just to check. Lo and behold after a couple of days I got another day of flashing followed by a static face.
I know you cant ovulate more than once in a cycle but, assuming that the second time I actually did ovulate and the first static was just follicle stimulation, am I likely to release two eggs?

Unless you're genetically predisposed to double ovulation (if fraternal twins run in your family) or are older and have high FSH, I think you'd still only release one egg.

Carportforme · 11/05/2024 21:35

Thank you. Nothing in the family so probably a single egg then 😁

I've totally skipped my fertile window and gone straight from negative ovulation test into peak fertility static smiley. 2nd time that's happened now.

This happened to me this morning! This is only my second cycle using them though. Last cycle I had a flashing on CD16, and static CD17 (my easy@home strips showed a surge on CD20).

I got a BFP but ended in a chemical so I’m now on CD13 just off of that.

And had a static this morning after a few days of blank circles, no flashing!
My cheapie is darker but still not peak. But I’m very surprised it’s come a whole week earlier! Might just be my body regulating after a pregnancy but who knows!

but I did read O usually happens 2-3 days static smiley (and one day after a positive cheapie).

Sorry to hear your BFP ended in a chemical. Hope you're managing to process that while continuing to check fertility.

It's crazy isn't it. It hasn't happened for a couple of cycles now. It's been normal the past 2 or 3 cycles but then did a test yesterday and it was so confusing. When a peak static fertility shows up after no warning and no flashy high fertile window, it's hard for us to time the baby dance as we both feel we can't just jump into sex, we need a little pre warmup or warning to start getting into the mood.

Do you test using the CB once a day? I wonder if it would have shown flashing the night before? I haven’t tried more than once because they are so expensive 😂😂

I think you would still have a good chance holding out until tomorrow or the next day! Would also recommend the cheapies as well although that shows a quick surge! I sort of use the CB ones to tell me when my fertile window is opening and the cheapies to pinpoint exactly when!

we have been doing the SMEP method mainly (but sometimes 2 days on, one day off) and when the surge hits, we have sex for the next few days 😅.

Yes I have the CB and the cheap ones. I only just come off my period about 2 or 3 days ago so I've bitten the expensive bullet for a couple of cycles and tested every day after my period to check when my fertile window starts. Last month it wss text book 14 days bang on when I ovulated. Month before it was about 16 days after period. Month before that was the no fertile window straight into peak fertility. My cheapy test yesterday didn't show up properly but I could see that there was somewhat a strong line albeit half of one so I whacked out the CB one which is currently still static.

I've just done a cheapy one now which is showing a much fainter line so the surge looks to be over I'm guessing. Does this mean I've missed my chance this cycle?

I would keep testing. Here’s my strips from last cycle. My peak on them was 9th April. On my CB, my static was on the 6th. So a 3 day difference.

My understanding is that the CB shows the start of a rise (so probably still not peak!)

i’ve also attached my strips from this month too. The bottom one is today and isn’t positive (but looks to be getting there). I also use FMU, not sure if that makes much of a difference but going to test a few times today as well! I’ve noticed LH can fluctuate throughout the day dependent on hydration levels.

I wouldn’t say you’ve missed your chance but I would have sex today, tomorrow and the day after. And also, keep an eye on your strips!

This is really helpful, thank you so much for sharing your tests and guidance. I'm going to start keeping my tests in a booklet too. I have an IVF referral consultation at the end of this month so hopefully we can try naturally before it all starts xx

Haha that's ok. I understood what you meant, to be fair I'm buying that many ovulation tests and pregnancy tests that I'll probably turn into one before I'm pregnant 🤣

Hahaha, I must have spent a FORTUNE on tests last month! Must have taken about 25 (although, they included the cheap ones that came with my ovulate kits that I started doing from 1dpo out of curiosity 😂). I’m waiting until the day after AF is due this time to do a digital 🙈 don’t think I can stand to look at a negative!

Carportforme · 18/05/2024 10:09

So, a slight update from me... I am now 7 dpo and thought I would check out how tge CB digital worked post ovulation. Yesterday I got a flashing smikey and today another static. Definitely already ovulated and I think it's much too early for tge test to be confusing LH with HCG so not sure what's going on!
I'm not going to get excited about the latter possibility and start taking a pregnancy test st 7 dpo so I guess I will have to wait.
I've read that you can get a second estrogen surge in the middle of luteal phase, which would account for the flashing, I think, but not so sure about the full static!

Thank you for the update! Please post when you do a test 🫶although… sometimes with twins, HCG shows up earlier 😂

I will do. I wint test till AF is due though. I've got used to getting negatives as well so I have learnt not to be hopeful. I would be very, very shocked if I was and it was twins 🤣🤣

So I caved earlier and tested (kind of wishing I hadn’t!). Posted on a new thread I started and forgot to add here. First pic cheap and cheerful test at what I think was 10 dpo and second on RFER yesterday at 11 dpo. Whilst I can see lines on both and the RFER looks pink to me, I’m not very hopeful. Think they may well be evaps 😔

I had trouble with FRER last cycle - I got 2 and both came back negative when my cheap easy@home strips came back with vvvvvfl. I think it was down to me taking biotin. Apparently FR use that in their binding process 🤪 when is your period due? X

Carportforme · 23/05/2024 15:06

Hi there, I am due on Sunday or Monday so I guess even the RFER was a little on the earlier side but I would have hoped for something stronger. I don’t take anything with biotin in though. Weird that I have vague lines on both but nothing definite yet.

Thank you so much RoseWinter. I had a MMC in the Autumn. Took 5 months to get this BFP after. Unfortunately, it was a case of dark positive lines for a few days and then tested to check progression one day last week and nothing, stark white where the day before it had been a nice strong positive. Then the spotting started, followed by the inevitable so, sadly, this one turned into a chemical.
Aspirin for me going forwards I think.

Oh no @Carportforme I'm so sorry to hear this. Sorry for your loss. Sending you all the love and hope you're ok. Take all the time you need to process xx

Carportforme · 26/07/2024 21:26

Hi all hope you're all doing ok. Now on second cycle after chemical and here we go again...
Got my static smiley face last Sunday last and kept doing E@H strip tests just in case. Today I got a virtual dye stealer so I think I am yet again having a second surge! Getting a bit fed up with paying for the ClearBlue Digital when actually I am having two surges and obviously ovulate on the second. I might as well just use the E@H because they are so much cheaper.
