No AF but BFN

Hello lovely ladies,

I hope you can help as I am in a bit of a predicament.
My period is 4 days late now with no sign of AF even arriving yet I have just done two tests and both BFN. These tests were not done with FMU
Do I leave it a couple of days and test again or just ride it out??

I would like to add that I am full of symptoms and that mixed with no AF if making me think I could be but the tests are stark white.
Symptoms are:
-nausea and vomiting

  • heavy and painful boobs
  • increased discharge (feels like I have wet myself)
  • needing to pee more
  • constantly tired
  • a tugging pain behind my belly button along with sever bloating.

Something is off and all the signs are there just unsure what to do now.

I’d have thought you would have a positive by now if you were pregnant. Maybe give it a week then try the gp for bloods?

@soymilknosugar thank you so much for your reply.
So according to Flo my AF was due Saturday. However, it only registered me as being late today. I popped out and brought the tests and did it at about 2PM. So thinking I should try with FMU on Thursday. I am just a little confused is all.

It would definitely be positive by now, unless you've sadly experienced a chemical pregnancy. Give it a few more days and test again if AF doesn't come x

I could have written this post- I didn't get a positive pregnancy test until AF was a week late! I must have ovulated late because my EDD was also pushed later when we went for our 12 week scan. It all turned out fine and my DS is now nearly 3! So you're not out until AF arrives!

@minnieot yeah that my plan. Going to test with FMU on Thursday morning and if still BFN then I am going to contact the doctors.

Oh okay then so I am not out yet. Thank you very much. This is month 3 of TTC and we do not want to get our hopes up only to be disappointed. So I thought on here might be the best place to ask for advice.

I do not track ovulation and so I have no idea when I actually ovulated in my cycle. . We just DTD regularly throughout the cycle. So I could have ovulated later than the app thinks I have.

Still testing negative and now over 4 weeks late. Got a doctor's appointment on Friday
