Positive test before missed period?

Has anyone taken a test before their missed period and got a BFP?

Yes! Yesterday and today in fact 😂 period not due until Friday/ Saturday.

Lots of people get positives before their periods are due x

Yes!! The early positive test result is currently sleeping next to me in the maternity ward

The official advice is to wait until you have missed your period to test, but it is certainly possible to get an earlier positive. If you have a look at some of the other conception threads some women get very early BFPs, and some don't.

Yes every time I was pregnant.

Yes tested positive about 5/6 days before I was due period with DD2. Though was a day late and only a faint line for DD1 x

What test did you take? Because the ones I have state to be taken after a missed period so don't want to take one for that reason but if I can get another that I can take early I will! Because I have a lot of symptoms I got when I was pregnant with my first (again, before I even knew I was pregnant!) xx

8 days after ovulation with DS (approx 6 days before missed period) and 10 days after ovulation with DD (4 days before missed period)
We did fertility treatment so knew exactly when ovulation was - although the clinic did advise waiting until 14 days after ovulation to test.

What test did you take? X

@BeckyLC89 at that point had a clear positive on a FRER, Clear Blue and supermarket cheapie. FRER was the best line x

Yes a few weeks ago now! I got my first positives on First Response Early Response and the Wondfo strips
