Ovulation strip test help, have I ovulated?

Hello, I’m hoping someone can give some insight to these ovulation tests. It is my first time tracking ovulation with tests and I’m already confused! I started tracking from cycle day 12 and I am currently on cycle day 19. I am using the premom app to track the tests and it has predicted I will ovulate tomorrow, I also use the Flo app and have done for years and it predicted that I ovulated on Wednesday (yesterday). I don’t think I’ve had a “peak test” yet, the darkest line I have got was on cycle day 15 (Monday). I also had egg white CM on cycle day 14 and 15, which is making me think I have already ovulated, but the tests not being dark enough have me conflicted. I will attach pictures of my tests.
thank you for any help ☺️

Hi OP, those tests indicate you have not had a peak yet. How long is your cycle usually? Even though you've been using Flo for years, it wont know anything about your luteal phase which is the crucial part for predicting ovulation. Flo wont know until you actually track it so it wont be accurately predicting anything other than your usual cycle length. It may be that you have a short luteal phase, which again you wouldn't know if you've not tracked it before.
Completely ignore whatever Premom tries to predict and just use it for storing your tests. I also use both Flo and Premom and have irregular cycles so it always tries to come up with a prediction I know will be inaccurate. I just use them to store my cycle info and tests.
Also just a tip with regards to those tests, it looks like a few of them you've taken the photo before it was fully developed as it's still a bit pink. Not sure what brand they are but I recommend Easy@home LH tests.

Looks like you skipped cd14 and I would assume that’s when you had a peak because the reading was higher on cd13 and 15.

Peonies12 · 02/05/2024 15:29

I'd say you possibly had a peak on CD14, I always got one sudden strong test, with low readings the day before and after.

@Girlfolk thank you for your reply! My cycles usually range from 32-36 days, I’ll keep on tracking and hopefully get a peak! Will definitely try the easy at home lh tests next month if nothing comes from this!☺️

@emmatcc1 thank you for your reply! Yes I did skip cycle day 14, I thought maybe I started tracking to early but wish I didn’t now! as I was thinking the same! I’m going to keep testing over the next few days and if I don’t get my peak I guess it must have been then ☺️

@Peonies12 thank you for replying! I was also thinking my peak was possibly CD14, the one day I didn’t test! It’s my first month using them so I have a lot to learn haha

It’s way more likely with a 32-36 day cycle that you haven’t ovulated yet. A long luteal phase is less common than a short one. In this case your luteal phase would be at least 17+ days which is more unusual. I’d still carry on tracking through to at last cycle day 28.

Hiya OP,
The thing with these tests is I found they differed so much depending on how dilute my urine was, according to my tests I never ever peaked the highest I got was a 0.5 reading. I felt like I’d ovulated as had the usual cramps and EWCM. Turns out I must have as I fell pregnant that month! Unfortunately it ended in miscarriage but I don’t think that was anything to do with the LH peak :)

Strictlymad · 03/05/2024 12:17

I read somewhere to test morning and night as the peak can be short lived. For me my cycles are very long, 42 days on average, but I always peak exactly 14 days before period, so for me that’s day 28. So for you I might expect the peak day 18-22

BPquestion · 03/05/2024 20:45

If your cycle is an average of 34 days then you’re likely to ovulate around CD20. Keep testing twice a day for the next couple of days and remember not to use FMU. Good luck!

Hi everyone, thank you all for your messages! I decided to get some easy at home tests as I’ve been told they are better, I have used those since yesterday, currently CD 21 and the line is starting to look darker so I think I will have my peak soon! Than you all for your help ☺️
