Evap or faint positive?

Hi there

So I'm about a week late. I'm normally like clockwork. I took this pregnancy test yesterday, I am sure I can see a line but my partner says he can't. Took a test 2 days before and this was definitely a negative one

Am I seeing things or is my partner in denial? 🤣

I keep getting the same back pains that I would when starting my period but still hasn't shown up. I keep going to the toilet as I feel like I've come on, but then there's nothing there. Just watery discharge. Sorry for the info 🙈

I already have children and have had faint postivies before but surely at a week late this would be alot darker. We're not actively TTC and have been preventing it

Is it possible its just an evap line?

I can defo see something. Maybe - as you're a week late - try a digital. It should show up on one if you're late already. Keep me posted!

I'd expect it to be alot darker by now that's the only thing. I will do :)

Hi! Mind if I join? I too am questioning a test at 14dpo. Seems very light compared to others at a similar day and of course now the panicking has started haha. Not sure how good these cheap ones are but what are everyone’s thoughts? I’m very new to reading tests so I have no clue! I can definitely see something on yours!

I see a vvfl ✨ Do you track ovulation? Maybe you ovulated later this cycle 🤔 Are your periods quite regular? x

I did and got a good positive OPK that I recorded in an app. So presuming I ovulated a day after that, I should be 14dpo this morning. I’ve got a clear blue digital but I don’t need the loo since I’ve just gone so drinking a cup of tea and hoping to do it later on… does it matter it won’t be FMU?

I've used those test strips when pregnant with my other children. Always been 100% accurate

Firstly congratulations! After reading your post and your reply... to me that test looks ok 👌🏻 HCG should double every 48 - 72 hours.... so you may not see much of a line progression for a couple of days, everyone's HCG level rises differently 🙏🏼

What type of digital is it? Is it the weeks indicator one? Or the 6 day early one? As the week indicator measures a higher level of HCG (25) so it might come back negative if you take it with SMU 🤔 So maybe worth taking the digital in the morning instead 👌🏻

Have you got any other tests at home? Or just these ones? ✨

Eeek ok! I do just have the CB digital weeks one so maybe that might not be the best as you say. Hmmm… maybe I’ll have to dash out later today to find the CB 6 day early one!

This is first month trying so not sure what to make of it…. Don’t have any symptoms aside from sore boobs but I get those before period anyway so I don’t feel any different?!

In person I can see some colour... what's the difference between a shadow and "colour"? From reading, people say anything on a HCG test is a positive but equally, I would have thought it would be more obvious by this dpo. I haven't done any others this month as wanted to wait until today so I don't have any "progressions" to compare to!

Retested this morning, found some test strips lying around. Was going to buy a digital today but no need. Tested negative!!

AF still not arrived, boob's are on fire though!! 😭

If it makes you feel better I did a CB digital and it was negative this morning… period due today. Similar to you boobs feel quite weird. 2 nights in a row woken up to that burning sensation. I get sore boobs before AF but not like this. Cheapie still same as yesterday. Defo a line but not a blazing BFP. Ughh you go into ttc thinking it’ll be a simple yes or no but you always end up analysing! I’ll keep this thread posted if I get anywhere! Sending baby dust to you OP!

We actually haven't been trying for a baby, but now I've got negatives I actually am gutted. I think deep down I would love one more :( it's made me feel so weird now, like I was getting excited at the thought of possibly being pregnant again. I'm just praying for AF to arrive now to just have it done with. Even though I have accepted I'm not pregnant, surely by a week late I would have a BFP by now

How are you getting on?! Has AF arrived or still nothing?

I’m getting a bit confused and worried… no AF for me but tests are not getting any darker. Still there but I thought by 16dpo I’d be getting blaring BFPs. I thought HCG was meant to double every 48 hours?? These look more like 10dpo to me. Ughhhh

AF finally arrived this morning. About 10 days late and the pain is awful 😭 I never have bad period pains either

I honestly wouldn't worry :) it's definitely a postivie line from what I can see. My tests looked exactly like that on the day and days after my period was due when pregnant. Out of all 3 of my kids, I only really got strong lines on my first, but i did test later (he was unplanned and didn't test until I realised my period was over a week late)

With my other 2 children the lines were barely there when testing on the first few days of missed period, but confirmed with digital. Try another digital see how you get on. Keep me updated :)

I’ve just started bleeding this evening. Assume pregnancy tests will be negative in the morning. Bit of a whirlwind… guess this is what is classified as a chemical. Maybe yours was too since you had a faint positive? Either way, not much we can do but assume our bodies are doing what is needed. Will do a final update in the morning because I know future people reading this will appreciate it!
