Short cycles - 23 days

Hi all,
Since stopping the pill my periods have returned shorter than before. They're averaging 23 days, with ovulation about day 9 (opk)The luteal phase seems fine at around 14 days. My worry is that the follicular phase is too short for successful conception. I'm also concerned as I'm nearly 36, so could be a case of less eggs etc. Haven't been to a Dr yet as only ttc for 2 months and I don't think they'll be interested (however have been tracking cycles for 4 months). Have people had successful pregnancies with early ovulation or successfully lengthened their follicular phase? Any shared experiences greatfully recieved.

To be honest, everything takes so long for referrals I'd go to the doctor's now and say you've been trying for longer. Time isn't your friend, so get in the system and if you get pregnant in the meantime then brilliant.

@FrellTasticLady hi there! You cycle sounds normal. The important thing is your luteal phase isn't too short. My cycle is 25 days. Ovulate around cd12/13 and my luteal phase is only 12 days. Ttc 4th cycle now with temping, opks, conceive plus lube, prenatals. Fingers crossed something happens soon.

Thanks for the replies. Currently on cd2 so will see when I ovulate this cycle and if another short one will contact the GP.

My cycles are 23-25 days. It’s completely normal. It’s the luteal phase that matters and yours sounds perfect length

Thank you for this. It's just hard not to go down a rabbit hole as some information says that ovulation before cd11 can mean immature eggs etc.
