Clearblue ovulation - staying on empty circle

Hi

I have PCOS and have a monthly cycle but sometimes long/ variable - 26 - 33 days. I'm using the Clearblue with the flashing smiley (purple ones). I know sometimes they are unreliable for PCOS.

This month I'm on CD 18 and it's still showing as blank circle. No flashing smiley. Usually I would definitely have had flashing by this point.

Has anyone else had this before?
I'm thinking probably not ovulating this cycle because not had any EWCM also

Thanks

The first time I conceived, neither of the machines I was using picked it up. I thought I hadn't ovulated.

The second time, I tested with cheapie strips three times a day and confirmed with the machine after I got a positive on those.

What I learned is that I peak around or just before midday and I have a very sudden surge that's over by the next early evening. I had been testing with first wee of the day before and missed it. We were sort of doing SMEP at the time, so still caught, but the positive was a shock after assuming I hadn't ovulated!
