Why is the test so faint?

I got this today.... I can't quite believe my eyes as we have been trying for nearly a year and have known fertility issues.
I can't get excited yet because I had a chemical pregnancy back in October.
I was due on yesterday and took this test today. I thought it would be much darker?
What do you all think? I'm not allowing myself to get excited yet.

It depends how many DPO you are or when your period is due? Mine was that faint the day before my period was due. And a positive is a positive - it can’t predict the outcome!

For those tests, that's a good line at your stage. Congratulations!

I'd be about 15dpo I think. Not 100% sure as didn't fully track ovulation this month so could be a day or so either way.
I was due on period yesterday

Just to add I got a negative at 10/11dpo

Do you think? I really hope so ❤️

Try a clear blue early response, the ones that make the cross, for a better indication but in all honesty I would expect a darker line. I have everything crossed for you OP, I just don't want to give you false hope.

Yes, definitely. They're not known for giving blazing results at the point your period is due.

Implantation takes place at 6-12 DPO, then it's a couple of days to get a + test after that. So your test makes sense given the previous negative test.

Cerialkiller · 27/04/2024 07:08

This looks just like mine at the same point. There's lots of variants that can make it fainter. You are earlier then you thought, your wee was diluted or not from first wee of the day etc. you only have one data point so it's too early to worry as that looks normal to me.

Elisabeth3468 · 27/04/2024 07:10

@NoWordForFluffy I think maybe I implanted 11dpo because I remember feeling cramps all day and I could've sworn I was coming on my period! My boobs don't hurt in the slightest but didn't with my son

@Cerialkiller thank you. I took it today with the first wee of the day. I've ordered some first response tests and will take another tomorrow.

Looks good to me! Mine was much lighter initially, good luck 🤞

Todays tests. Does this look good for the stage I'm at?
So anxious I really am but I know it's in natures hands x

Is that a bog standard Clearblue, not an early one? If so, it's way less sensitive than the cheapy test from yesterday.

They both look good though!

Yes it's just a normal one. Not an early one. Think it detects 25IU/ml. X

If that's not an early digi, I think they're 50IU/ml, or they used to be. I'd say you've definite progression.
