Was there anything that you did differently to fall pregnant in the cycle that you did?
Ive just started my period so roll on cycle 8!
I started taking folic acid every day last cycle because my gynaecologist suggested it (I went for irregular periods, pain during sex and possible TTC struggles) she said she wants me to try for a year then she’ll do further testing (already had a ultra sound and one blood test ) came back fine.
I tracked my cycle one month and didn’t get a peak was taking them twice a day from end of period till the start of my next one but my gynaecologist said they’re no good and only good for people who sell them.

But is there anything else I can take/do other than the obvious dtd often?

Just to check you know folic acid won't help you conceive but is essential for foetal health when you do conceive and you should be building it up in your body before you get pregnant.

How irregular are your periods? Has the gynaecologist/GP done day 3 and day 21 bloods to check you are ovulating?

Up to a year TTC is normal. That's why they won't intervene before then.

DTD every 2nd or 3rd day. That's about all that's proven to work!

The cycle I conceived was the one I where I didn't track. Ended in mmc unfortunately.

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl Hey yeah I know they won’t help me conceive I had them with my daughter but only started when I got pregnant so the gynaecologist told me to start them before which was interesting.
My periods are between 28-49 days, I asked her for that blood test because I am concerned I’m not ovulating but she said she won’t do any tests until a year not even that one which I’m a bit disappointed about.
We've been dtd every 2-3 days guess we’ll just have to keep trying, I fell pregnant straight away with my daughter 3 years ago so it’s disheartening knowing it’s not that easy this time

@Lauren8642 she's right about folic - best to take it for 3months plus BEFORE conceiving

Is this NHS or private? NHS absolutely won't move until 1yr trying. If NHS, do you know that they won't offer any fertility help as you already have a child?

It does sound like a mild degree of delayed ovulation. If you are overweight then lower carb diets and losing some weight are proven to have positive effects

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl yeah ive been explained they won’t help me after but I just want to find out if they’re is a problem that can explain my irregular periods and painful sex too I’m worried that this is from my C-section because I never had these problems before.
im not overweight normal diet so don’t think that’s a problem
