Hi Ladies

Am a serial lurker on here. After spending far too much time over the last few weeks (well okay it is probably months but who's counting?) have decided to get serious about ttc and this month try out the various recommendations.

However am now confused and can't remember what I should be doing or why! Wondered if anyone could help.

Am 32 and TTC #1 and have been ttc since September (although really only properly since December as I was working away from home during the week until then). I have had endometriosis but have had laparoscopy operation to remove it and subsequent hysterosalpinogram was clear. DP has had tests in past (couple years ago with his ex-wife) and was fine.

Am on folic acid.

Should I be drinking grapefruit juice? Why?
Should I be taking evening primrose oil?
Should I be taking cough medicine with guaifenesin as the only active ingredient?
Should I be doing anything else?

I don't want to start temp charting yet as I know I will become obsessed.

Any help gratefully received.

Taking evening primrose oil up until ovulation is thought to be helpful for producing the most fertile cervical mucus (the clear stretchy stuff that looks a bit like egg-white).
As I recall you are not supposed to take it after ovulation.

I agree that charting can help you to feel much more in control and also it's quite useful to see whather you are actually ovulating or not.

Thanks for the advice ladies.

I know I am obsessed - perhaps I should have said more obsessed!! Or perhaps obsessed with temp charting in particular - to add to the many other obsessions!
