TTC after stillbirth

Hi everyone,

My baby girl, Eleanor, was born sleeping at 39 weeks 2 days ago, so I'm obviously a while away from trying again yet, but I just wanted to know for those who went through similar, how long did it take for cycle to return and for you to conceive again?

Confirmed placental abruption, suspected vasa previa and it was a vaginal birth.

Hi. I'm so, so sorry about your daughter Eleanor, and what you must be going through. I had a daughter who died when she was 8 weeks old, so not quite the same, but my periods started about 5 weeks later, since I stopped breastfeeding. We waited 3 months to start trying again and got pregnant after the second month of trying. With hindsight I maybe should have waited a few more months before starting to TTC again, just to process the trauma and grief a bit better. But at the same time, I know just how desperate I was for another child at that point, so I'm not sure I could have waited much longer. Good luck with everything. Hi Xena. I'm so sorry. My twin Dara was born sleeping 6 months ago at 29 weeks and his brother Adam died 4 days later in the NICU.

My period took took about 9 weeks to return and ovulation around 7.

It's a really tough road so just be good to yourself. I've on month 5 of ttc. So it hasn't happened yet. TheWe started trying again 7 weeks after losing them. I'm 33 and they were my first so I didn't want to wait. I hope you are doing ok. Stupid question I know but I can understand how you feel right now.

Just to add i think the grief hadn't helped my ttc again. This is the first month I haven't felt consumed by grief and wanting to be pregnant again but it's hard because im missing my sons so much and yet want to bring a baby home.

ZenatheWarrierPrincess and Ella31, I could ignore this thread. Not my experience, I had a 12 week MMC and that was bad enough so I cant begin to imagine your grief and I just wanted to offer my heartfelt support and virtual hugs.
